G'day mates, it's time to head down under to check out the song making their debut on the singles chart in Australia this week...

There's a new #1 record, and it's a debut from the Australian twin sister duo the Veronicas, with "You Ruin Me". It's their second song to top the chart in their home country; they did the trick in 2007 with "Hook Me Up"...

Beau Ryan, a retired rugby player New South Wales, enters the chart for the first time at #19 with the novelty single "Where You From". The record featured Australia's Got Talent winners Justice Crew...

Swedish House Mafia alum Alesso hooks up with singer Tove Lo at #27 for "Heroes (We Could Be)" (not the David Bowie song). Apart from his former group he went to #17 in this country with "Under Control" with Calvin Harris...

Two finalist from this season's X Factor Australia make the chart this week...first at #38 is Jason Heerah from Victoria with his cover of Disclosure and Sam Smith's "Latch". This actually beats the original, which peaked at #47. Jason's on Dannii Minogue's team, and somehow ended up in the bottom three even with this placing, and ended up getting eliminated the following week...

The other entry at #40 is Dean Ray from Melbourne from team Redfoo with a version of "Stolen Dance".  The original from German duo Milky Chance went to #2 in Australia...

The final debut of the week at #49 is from an X Factor finalist from the British version, Ella Henderson, with "Glow". It's the follow-up to "Ghost", which climbed to #3 earlier this year...
