twostepcub's music chart for September 19, 2014...

Hey gang, the weekend is upon us, and its time to run down my top 100 tunes from the week. Sam Smith hangs tight at #1 for a thirteenth week, while Meghan Trainor shimmies up into the top-5. Former big hits from Bleachers, Ed Sheeran, and Pharrell Williams (at last) drop off my chart, while songs by Jessie J, Ed Sheeran (again), and David Guetta make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red). Sorry John, no treble....

(Click below to see the rest of the post)

The highest new entry of the week at #82 comes from the Black Keys, who follow up their top-10 hit "Fever" with "Gotta Get Away"...

Another follow up to a big rock hit, Linkin Park's current #1 mainstream rock single "Until It's Gone", drops in at #85...

Lee Dagger, one-third of one of my favorite dance acts and remixers Bimbo Jones, recruits singer Inaya Day for the song at #89, "Shelter Me"...

The Pretty Reckless the hard rock band fronted by actress Taylor Momsen, rocks in at #94 with "Fucked Up World" ("Messed" for the radio...)...

Country newcomer Sam Hunt makes his way to my list as a singer for the first time with "Leave The Night On" at #96, although his writing skills show up at #90 with Billy Currington's "We Are Tonight"...

Veteran DJ/producer Fatboy Slim presents Gregor Salto with "Samba De Mundo" featuring SaxSymbol and Todorov at #98...

The final debut of the week at #99 is from 90's alt-rock hitmakers Better Than Ezra who return with "Crazy Lucky". It's their first to make my chart since 2006's "Juicy"...

That's it for my personal list....I'll be back tomorrow to check out the songs making the singles charts in Billboard magazine. Cheers!
