Soul Sweep: August 9, 2014...

We're at the "hump" of today's "chart sweeps", checking out the songs making the radio charts in Billboard magazine, and this time I'm serving up the latest on R&B stations...

On the main R&B/Hip Hop Airplay chart, Lil' Wayne moves up to #1 with "Believe Me" featuring Drake...

Drake also has the top entry of the week at #42 with "0 to 100/The Catch Up"....

John Legend also moves in at #48 with "You & I (Nobody In The World)", my "Soul Pick of the Week"...

Meanwhile, on the older-skewing Adult R&B radio panel, Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake hold on at the top for a fifth non-consecutive week with "Love Never Felt So Good"...

Johnny Gill is back at #24 with "Behind Closed Doors". Back in 2011 he went to #8 on this chart with "In The Mood"...

Jennifer Hudson comes in at #25 with "It's Your World" featuring R. Kelly...

Lastly, on the Rhythmic format, which includes more dance music in its playlists, Tinashe remains at #1 for a second week with "2 On"...

Usher is in at #38 with "She Came To Give It To You" featuring Nicki Minaj...

And at #39 is British singer-songwriter Charli XCX with "Boom Clap"...

I'll be back in 90 with the latest songs on country radio...groove on!
