Soul Sweep: August 30, 2014...


We're at the "hump" of today's "chart sweeps" of the latest songs to make the radio charts in Billboard magazine, and this time I'm serving the latest R&B records on the radio...

On the main R&B/Hip Hop Airplay chart, Schoolboy Q spends his third week at #1 with "Studio"...

DJ Khaled comes in at #35 with "Hold You Down", with vocals from Chris Brown, August Alsina, Jeremih, and rapper Future...

Jagged Edge climb in at #50 with "Hope". The song also moves up to #21 in its eighth week on the Adult R&B list...


Meanwhile, on the older-skewing Adult R&B radio panel,  the late Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake stay on top for an eighth week with "Love Never Felt So Good"...

Syleena Johnson returns at #29 with "My Love". It's her second time and highest rank on this chart...


Ce Ce Peniston is also back at #30 with my "Soul Pick of the Week", "Nothing Can Stop Me"...


Lastly, on the Rhythmic format, which includes some dance and pop music in the radio playlists, Nico & Vinz are at #1 for a second week with "Am I Wrong"...

Enrique Iglesias enters at #38 with "Bailando" featuring Descemer Bueno and Gente De Zoma. The single so far has made it to #12 on the Hot 100 pop chart.


John Legend drives in at #39 with "You & I (Nobody In The World)". It follows "All Of Me", which went all the way to #1 on this chart...


 Canadian singer Kiesza dances in at #40 with her club hit "Hideaway"...
