Dance Sweep: July 12, 2014...

I'm ready to wrap up this week's "chart sweeps" with the latest dance jams on Billboard's club and radio charts...

On the DJ-polled Dance Club Play chart, modern rock giants Coldplay score their second #1 hit with "A Sky Full Of Stars". They previously did the trick in 2006 with "Talk"...

The top debut of the week belongs to DJ Joe Gauthreaux with "Bye Felicia" featuring Mitch Amtrak at #42. (I think he forgot to release to real video - this "preview" came out in freaking May...)..

Latin fusion rock veteran Santana and former Fugee Wyclef Jean team up with Swedish EDM master Avicii and Alexander Pires for "Dar Um Jeito (Love Will Find A Way)" at #46. It's another tie-in with the World Cup in Brazil...

Janine Berenson debuts at #47 with "Strong". She hails from Miami...

Washington, DC singer Billy Winn also makes his first appearance at #48 with "Future X Boyfriend"...

The last entry on the club chart at #49 is Irish model Nadia Forde with "Love Is In The Air"...

Meanwhile, on the radio-monitored Dance Airplay/Mixshow list, Calvin Harris reigns for a ninth week with "Summer"...

Canadian reggae-rock act Magic! jump in at #15 with their pop hit "Rude"...

The other entry at #20, and my "Dance Pick of the Week", is British neo-house act Clean Bandit with "Rather Be" featuring Jess Glynne. The single topped the UK charts for a month earlier this year...

That's it for tonight...thanks for taking today's musical journey...I'll be back tomorrow...Cheers!
