The weekend's finally at a close, and it's time to check out the songs making the official singles chart in Britain this week....

The top song of this week is from former Girls Aloud lead singer Cheryl Cole, who tops the list for the fourth time as a solo artist with "Crazy Stupid Love" featuring British rapper Tinie Tempah. She first hit the summit in 2009 with the sublime "Fight For This Love". This also mark's Tinie's fifth time to the top of the chart...

British pop singer-songwriter Charli XCX scores her first big solo hit in her home country as "Boom Clap" leaps in at #6. She previously got a featured credit on the #1 Icona Pop "I Love It" (though she was only the writer on the track)...


Detroit DJ Mark Kinchen, aka MK, went to #69 with the original version of "Always" featuring Alana that topped the American dance club chart in 1992. Now with a revamped version remixed by neo-house hitmakers Route 94, it jumps on to the chart at #12...


London-based girl group Neon Jungle place the fourth single and title track from their debut album Louder at #14...


American indie-rockers X Ambassadors team up with English blues-rocker Jamie N Commons with "Jungle" featuring Jay-Z at #18...


Cher Lloyd just misses the top-40 at #41 with "Sirens", the first British single from her sophomore album Sorry I'm Late. Her debut single "Swagger Jagger" topped the chart in 2011...


Indie-pop act La Roux returns at #63 with "Uptight Downtown", my "Brit Pick of the Week".  In 2009 they went to #1 with "Bulletproof"....


The final new entry of the week at #66 is Mancunian indie-rockers the Courteeners with "How Good It Was"...
