Pop Sweep: June 21, 2014....

It's time to kick off the first of today's five "chart sweeps", checking out the songs making the various singles charts in Billboard magazine this week. As usual I'll start off on the pop side of things, then move on later in the day to the latest in rock, R&B, country and dance radio...

On the "big" chart, Billboard's Hot 100, which combines tallies of radio airplay, sales, and internet streaming (like YouTube), Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX stay on top for a third week with "Fancy"...

The featured singer on that chart-topper scores her first lead-artist hit as Charli XCX's "Boom Clap" enters as the top debut at #62. It comes from the movie The Fault In Our Stars....

British singer Sam Smith comes in at #69 with "I'm Not The Only One". It's his fourth appearance in this week's chart - his "Stay With Me" leaps from #19 to #10 this week. It's the third track from his upcoming debut album In The Lonely Hour to make the Hot 100: "Leave Your Lover" popped in at #92 a few weeks back.

Another critically-buzzed about artist, Lana Del Rey, charts a third track from her upcoming album Ultraviolence (which comes out on Tuesday, as does Sam's) as the title track is in at #70...

Country harmony aces Little Big Town return at #87 with "Day Drinking". It's the first track from their upcoming sixth album Painkiller. On the Hot 100, they've been as high at #22, with their hit "Pontoon" in 2012...

Teen YouTube star Becky G makes her debut as a lead artist at #88 with "Shower". She previously appeared at #73 as a featured artist on a song she wrote for Cher Lloyd, "Oath"...

The third Hot 100 hit from rapper SchoolBoy Q's album Oxymoron, "Studio", lands at #89. It follows "Man Of The Year", which peaked at #62. The new track features BJ The Chicago Kid...

Dutch trance king Tiesto enters at #95 with "Wasted" featuring Matthew Koma, the second single from his upcoming A Town Called Paradise. The first, "Red Lights", went to #56 and stands one notch under at #96 this week...

Country "ginger" Eric Paslay drops in at #98 with "Song About A Girl". It follows his breakthrough single "Friday Night", which went to #47 on this chart...

New York brother trio AJR make their way in at #99 with their first single "I'm Ready"...

...and now on to the pop radio format charts....

On the Mainstream Top-40 radio panel, Iggy Azalea takes over the #1 spot, while aforementioned tracks by Becky H and Tiesto enter at #36 and #38...

The other new song on this chart at #40 is 3/4 sisterly rock band Haim with "Forever". The single is also doing well at Adult Top-40, moving up to #33 in its fifth week...

On the older-skewing Adult Top-40 format, Paramore score their first #1 hit with "Ain't It Fun"...

The second single from Daughtry's fourth album Baptized, "Battleships", sail in at #38. It follows "Waiting For Superman", which stopped short at #11 last year...

Irish indie-rock band Kodaline move in at #40 with "All I Want", my "Pop Pick of the Week". The single went to #15 in their home country last year...

Lastly, on the Adult Contemporary (or "Easy-Listening") chart, John Legend remains on top for a second week with "All Of Me"...

The sole entry at #28 is a song I'm sure will be topping this chart eventually, Sam Smith's "Stay With Me"...

That's it for the start of today's musical journey...I'll be back in 90 minutes with the latest on rock radio...
