Pop Sweep: June 14, 2014....

It's time to kick off the first of today's "chart sweeps", sampling the songs making the various singles charts in Billboard magazine this week. As always, I'll start out with the pop side of things, and then move on to the latest on rock, R&B, country, and dance radio....

On the "big chart", Billboard's Hot 100, Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX hang on to #1 for a second week with "Fancy"...

Two songs make their debut inside the top-40 on this chart this week, and the first is the third charting single for Australian "boy-band with instruments" 5 Seconds Of Summer, as they come in at #34 with "Good Girls". Their promoted first single, "She Looks So Perfect", is still climbing the chart at #24...

On the other end of the pop music spectrum at #36 is rapper Lil' Wayne with "Believe Me" featuring Drake. It's the first single from his upcoming The Carter V album. It's Weezy's 20th top-40 hit as a lead artist; out of those, he's topped the chart once in 2008 with "Lollipop"...

Swedish singer Tove Lo breaks in at #66 with her first hit "Habits (Stay High)". The single is already a top-10 smash in Britain...

Lana Del Rey is back at #79 with the second track from her upcoming Ultraviolence album, "Shades Of Cool". The first, "West Coast", roared in at #17 earlier this year..

As Jason Derulo's "Wiggle" remains in the top-10, the fifth single from his Talk Dirty album, "Trumpets", blare in at #87. His recent #3 hit with the title track just falls out of the top-10 this week...

Singer/songwriter John Mayer has been performing Beyonce's "XO" in concert, and the studio version of the song done in a folksy way makes the chart at #90. Beyonce's original had peaked at #45...

Country legend George Strait returns to the pop chart at #96 with "I Got A Car". It's the second single from his latest album to make the Hot 100; last year he made it to #43 with "Give It All We Got Tonight"...

The last debut on the "big" chart at 100 is another collaboration between husband and wife Tim McGraw and Faith Hill with "Meanwhile Back At Mama's". It's their fifth duet to reach this chart; they went to #7 back in 1997 with "It's Your Love"...

And now on to the pop radio format charts....

On the Mainstream Top-40 radio chart,  Justin Timberlake spends a second week at #1 with "Not A Bad Thing"...

Pharrell enters at #39 with "Come Get It Bae", the second follow-up to his mega-hit "Happy"...

Demi Lovato is slated to perform at the big dance on the pier at New York Pride this year, and her new single "Really Don't Care" featuring British singer Cher Lloyd comes on at #40. It's the fourth single from her Demi album...

Meanwhile, on the older-skewing Adult Top-40 format, "Not A Bad Thing" climbs to #1 for its first week....

The top entry on this list at #36 is Coldplay with the Avicii-assisted "A Sky Full Of Stars"...

The current Hot 100 #1 hit "Fancy" from Iggy Azalea finally crosses over to this format at #39...

And at #40 is blues-rock singer ZZ Ward with "Last Love Song", a record which also is in the top-20 on the dance club play chart (in remixes). It's my "Pop Pick of the Week"...

Lastly, on the Adult Contemporary, or "easy listening" radio chart, John Legend conquered another format as "All Of Me" hits the top of the chart...

The sole entry on this chart at #30 is Katy Perry with her dance-pop hit "Birthday"...

That's it for the beginning of today's musical journey...I'll be back in 90 minutes with the latest on rock radio....
