French Sweep: May 13, 2014...


It's time to head east to check out the songs making the top-100 of the official singles chart in France this week, as Pharrell Williams digs in for a 22nd week at #1 with "Happy"....

I thought Coldplay's "Midnight" had a shot, entering at #5 last week, but alas it plummets to #37 this week. However their next track from their upcoming Ghost Stories album, "A Sky Full Of Stars", leaps in at #6, so who knows? Maybe next week will see a new leader...

The posthumous duet between the late Michael Jackson and quite alive Justin Timberlake, "Love Never Felt So Good", lands at #19 on the chart. Jackson was last on this chart back in 2010 with "Hold My Hand", which peaked at #27...


French rap group L'Entourage arrives at #44 with "Toujours La" ("Always There")...


American ingenue Ariana Grande comes in at #53 with "Problem" feautring Iggy Azalea...


Rapper Niro enters at #61 with "Vivastreet"...


Swiss singer Dania Gio lands at #63 with "If U Don't Luv Me Now"...


Katy Perry celebrates at #69 with "Birthday"...


Alicia Keys' track from the new Spiderman 2 movie, "It's On Again", flies in at #76. She previously went to #5 with "Girl On Fire"...


French singer Pascal Obispo moves in at #78 with "Où et avec qui tu m'aimes" ("Where and with whom you love me"), a song from 2009.  He topped the chart in 2003 with "Fan"...


Canadian singer Coeur De Pirate returns at #95 with "Mistral Gagnant". She previously went to #1 in this country in 2010 with "Pour Un Infidele" with Julien Dore'...
