Dance Sweep: June 7, 2014...


It's time to wrap up today's "chart sweeps" of this week's Billboard charts with the latest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio...

On the DJ-polled Dance Club play chart, British neo-house artist Duke Dumont scores his second #1 hit with "I Got U" featuring Jax Jones. The first, "Need U (100%)", was nominated for a Grammy this year as well...

The highest debut of the week at #38 is from British modern rockers Coldplay with their "Sky Full Of Stars", which was produced by Swedish EDM king Avicii. They topped this chart before with "Talk"...

French alt-dance duo Daft Punk is back at #40 with a remix of their track from the Tron movie reboot from the recently-released Disney remix album Dconstructed, "Derezzed 2014" featuring vocals from Negin. It's been remixed, of course, by Avicii, and it's my "Dance Pick of the Week"..



Ukranian singer Korr-a (Kristina Korban) comes in at #42 with the suggestive "Fuck Me Like You Mean It". She originally made the chart before with "Fiyakracka"...


British singer Foxes follows up her #1 debut solo hit "Youth" with "Holding Onto Heaven" at #44....


Shakira shimmies in at #46 with "Dare (La La La)". It follows her #1 hit "Can't Remember To Forget You" with Rihanna...


Remixing team Papercha$er teams up with singer Laura LaRue for "You Make Me Dance" at #48...


Carmen Electra shows up on the chart at #49 with "Werq". She previously made it to #33 with "Everybody Get On Up"...



The final entry on the club chart at #50 are newcomers Joywave with "Tongues" featuring KOPPS. They also are on the rock chart backing up Big Data on "Dangerous"....


Meanwhile on the radio-monitored Dance Airplay/Mixshow chart, Calvin Harris spends a fourth week on top with "Summer"...

The top entry here at #16 is New Jersey remix team Cash Cash with "Lightning" featuring vocals from Johnny Rzeznik from the pop/punk band the Goo Goo Dolls. It follows "Take Me Home", which made the top-5 on this chart...


David Guetta returns at #17 with "Bad" with Dutch duo Showtek and Australian singer Vassy....


Katy Perry is back at #21 with her bouncy pop hit "Birthday". She's topped this chart four times so far, the last time with "Firework" from her last album...


 The current #1 pop hit in the country, Ariana Grande's "Problem", comes on the chart here at #22...


The final debut on the airplay chart at #23 is another big pop hit, "Not A Bad Thing" from Justin Timberlake. He's been to #1 three times here, with "SexyBack", "My Love", and "LoveStoned"...
