Dance Sweep: April 26, 2014...


I'm at the last of today's five "chart sweeps" checking out the songs making their way on to the charts in Billboard magazine, and I'll wrap things up with the newest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio...

On the DJ-polled Dance Club Play chart, Scotty Boy claims his first #1 with his remake of "Shiny Disco Balls" with Sue Cho...

This week's Top entry at #46 is from Scottish DJ and producer Calvin Harris with "Summer". The former "Dance Pick" is already in the top-5 on the radio list...

An Estonian DJ using the moniker Syn Cole (say it aloud, you'll get it) debuts at #47 with his first, "Miami 82". He's a protege of Swedish EDM master Avicii. It features vocals from someone calling themselves Madame Buttons...


Blues-rock singer ZZ Ward crosses over to the dance chart at #48 with "Last Love Song", my "Dance Pick Of The Week"...


The last entry on the club chart at #50 is from Miley Cyrus, with "Adore You", the third single from her Bangerz album. The first, "We Can't Stop", went to #34, while the second, "Wrecking Ball", stopped at #15. She's hoping to repeat the success of using French DJ Cedric Gervais that Lana Del Rey did last year with "Summertime Sadness"...



Meanwhile, on the radio-monitored Dance Airplay/Mixshow chart, Tiesto sits in for a ninth week on top with "Red Lights"...

Progressive house DJ/producer 3LAU comes in at #16 with "How You Love Me" featuring Bright Lights...


Demi Lovato's "Neon Lights" went to #1 on the club chart back in February, and finally the single makes the airplay list at #20...


Dillon Francis and DJ Snake (of "Turn Down For What" fame) collaborate at #23 for "Get Low"...


The last entry on the airplay chart at #25 is Dutch trance artist Sander van Doorn with "Right Here Right Now (Neon)"...
