Dance Sweep: April 12, 2014...

I'm about to close out today's "chart sweeps" checking out the songs to make the Billboard charts with the latest dance songs in the clubs and on the radio...

On the DJ-polled Dance Club Play chart, my queen Kylie Minogue collects her eleventh #1 hit with "Into The Blue"...

The highest debut of the week at #38 is from singer Gia with "Bombs Away". It's a non-descript EDM/club-filler track that doesn't really take any big chances, but isn't a failure, just is....there...She had a big dance hit four years ago as Gia Bella with "Back It Up"..

I knew it was only a matter of time until the cultural juggernaut that is Idina Menzel's "Let It Go" would get the remix treatment, and alas here it is at #45. I'm sure it'll do well, though the song seems quite rushed in this setting (Dave Aude's is even more disjointed)...

Another mixed-up pop ballad hitting the club chart is Christina Perri's "Human" at #48...

David Guetta's rework of the 60's Cher hit "Shot Me Down (Bang Bang)" featuring Skylar Grey hits the chart at #49...

Rounding the club chart at #50 is modern rock act Parade of Lights with "We're The Kids".

Meanwhile, on the Dance Airplay chart, Tiesto spends a seventh week on top with "Red Lights"...

Arriving at #18 is Los Angeles duo Mako with "Beam" featuring vocals from Angel Taylor. More filler rave music at your service.

and at #20 is this week's "Dance Pick of the Week", Calvin Harris' "Summer". This will be ruling radio in the upcoming months...

That's all for tonight... Thanks for stopping by, and I'll return tomorrow with the first half of this week's new album recap...
