French Sweep: March 11, 2014...

Hey gang, it's time to cross the Atlantic to check out the songs making their first appearance on the top-100 of the official sales chart in France this week, as Pharrell spends a thirteenth non-consecutive week at #1 with "Happy"...

The top entry of the week at #27 belongs to French rapper Kaaris with "A L'Heure" ("On Time"). It's his second highest rank now after "S.E.V.R.A.N." went to #26...

Singer and actress/star of Glee Lea Michele returns at #45 with "On My Way".  It's her fifth song from her debut album to make the top 100 and her highest as yet...

Parisian rapper Black M lands at #48 with his biggest hit so far, "Mme Pavoshko"...

As French-Indian singer Indila has the top-selling album in France with Mini World, her first single "Derniere Danse" climbs back to #2 for a seventh non-consecutive week, while two more songs sell enough on their own to debut on the singles chart. First at #73 is her "Love Story"...

Another album entering the top ten here is from rap/hip hop collective Team BS, and from it "1-2-3" drops in at #80. Last November their self-titled single went to #21...

 The other Indila single to enter the chart, "S.O.S.", comes in at #81...

Shakira enters at #82 with "Empire". It's the follow-up to "Can't Remember To Forget You" with Rihanna, which climbed to #5 in January...

I'm not sure how this made the chart, but DJ's Rebel and Sidney Housen debut at #83 with "Black Pearl (He's A Pirate)". It's a reinterpretation of the dance version of a song from the soundtrack to Pirates Of The Caribbean - The Curse Of The Black Pearl.

Pitbull arrives at #90 with "Wild Wild Love" featuring G*R*L (a new "Pussycat Dolls" like creation)...

American tribal house music DJ Ahzee from New York dances in at #92 with "King". It follows "Born Again", which made it to #18 last November...

The final entry of the week is from Jul, who also has a top-10 album with Dans Ma Paranoia, and has its first single hit at #95 with "Tu La Love" (YouTube doesn't have the track as yet)...
