Album Sweep: April 5, 2014 - Part Two...

It's time for the second half of this week's "album sweep", sampling the records reaching the Top 200 Albums sales chart in Billboard magazine this week. You can check out the first part by clicking here, and as always I've included highlighted links to buy anything when available as well as some of the artists' other work...

Coming in at #45 is post-hardcore band La Dispute from Grand Rapids, Michigan, with their third full-length album and second to make the chart, Rooms Of The House...

The soundtrack to the Muppets Most Wanted movie, which opened at #2 on its first weekend, drops in at #68. It's the sequel to The Muppets reboot, in which the first movie's soundtrack reached #38 (it did contain the Oscar-winning "Man Or Muppet" song)...

Upstate New York noise rock band Perfect Pussy debut at #93 with their first album Say Yes To Love...

Brooklyn's I Am The Avalanche land at #108 with their third full-length Wolverines...

Black Lips, an alternative rock group from Georgia, arrive at #143 with their seventh studio album Underneath The Rainbow. In 2011 they went a little bit higher with their last album Arabia Mountain at #122...

Country singer Jo Dee Messina used Kickstarter for her latest album Me, and had the best-ever showing for a country act, raising over $100,000, and the result debuts at #156. She's had three albums make the top-40 in her career so far, with Delicious Surprise making it to #7 in 2005...

Mexican band Los Tucanes de Tijuana enter at #157 with Corridos Time: Season One: Soy Parrandero. It's their fifth set to make the Top 200 here - in 2007 they peaked at #118 with El Papa De Los Pollitos...

Alt-hip-hop collective Sisyphus debut at #163 with their self-titled debut album. The trio includes indie darling Surjan Stevens...

Disney Junior DJ Shuffle, which collects songs from the kids' network, stops in at #164....

That's it for the second half of the party...out of this dozen the three I would go for are the George Michael, Black Lips, and Jo Dee Messina albums...
