Dance Sweep: February 8, 2014...

I'm at the last of today's "chart sweeps" looking at the songs making the charts at Billboard magazine, and I'll wrap things up with the latest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio...

On the DJ-polled Dance Club Play chart, modern rock band Bastille climb to the top with their first dance #1, "Pompeii"...

Teenage Dutch DJ and producer Martin Garrix follows up his #1 club hit "Animals" at #47 with "Wizard" featuring fellow countryman producer Jay Hardway...

Beyonce dances in at #48 with "Blow" from her self-titled "stealth" release...

Meanwhile, on the radio-monitored Dance Airplay/Mixshow list,  Zedd and Hayley Williams hang on for a tenth week on top with "Stay The Night"...

Dutch remix king R3Hab (Fadil el Ghoul) teams up with Australian duo NERVO and Turkish trance artist Ummet Ozcan for "Revolution", my "Dance Pick of the Week"...

British singer Foxes (aka Louisa Allen) takes her recent #1 club hit "Youth" on to the airplay chart at #18...

The aforementioned "Wizard" also makes the airplay chart at #22...

Finally Chicago trio Krewella enter at #24 with "Enjoy The Ride", their third hit single from their debut album. The first, "Alive", topped this chart...

That will do for tonight... thanks for stopping by, and I'll be back tomorrow with another Song of the Day, and part one of this week's new album recap. Cheers!
