Soul Sweep: January 11, 2014...

We're at the "hump" of today's "chart sweeps" sampling the songs reaching the singles charts in Billboard magazine, and this time I'm serving up the latest R&B songs on the radio.

On the main R&B/Hip Hop Airplay chart, Drake with Majid Jordan spend a twelfth week at #1 with "Hold On, We're Going Home"...

The high debut at #43 comes from rapper Rick Ross with "The Devil Is A Lie", featuring a cameo from Jay Z. It's the second single from his upcoming Mastermind set, after "No Games"...

While Drake lingers on top he also enters at #46 with "Worst Behavior"...

New Orleans native Ledisi returns at #48 with "I Blame You". It's the first single from her upcoming The Truth album, and my "Soul Pick of the Week"...

The last entry on the main chart is August Alsina's follow-up to his top-ten "I Love This Shit" titled "Ghetto" with Rich Homie Quan...

Meanwhile, on the older-skewing Adult R&B radio panel, Robin Thicke recaptures the top spot with "For The Rest Of My Life", and there are no debuting songs on the list...

I'll be back in 90 with the newest country songs on the radio....groove on!
