Country Sweep: January 25, 2014...


The fourth installment of today's "chart sweeps" is here, sampling the songs reaching the various charts in Billboard magazine, and this time out it's the newest country songs on the radio.

On the Country Airplay chart, Florida Georgia Line spend a fourth week at #1 with "Stay". It's the first song to spend four weeks on top since Blake Shelton's "Honey Bee" in 2011. Not bad for a fourth single...

Rocketing in at #28 is crossover trio Rascal Flatts with "Rewind". In their career so far they have racked up an even dozen #1 hits on country radio...

Canadian singer Lindsay Ell scores her first hit in the States as "Trippin' On Us" debuts at #58. It went to #32 in her homeland...



Joe Nichols follows up his #1 hit "Sunny and 75" with "Yeah" at #59, and it's my "Country Pick of the Week"...


The final entry at #60 is Chris Young with "Who I Am With You", the follow-up to "Aw Naw", which reached #3...
