Album Sweep: January 4, 2014...

I'm ready for this week's "album sweep", sampling the records arriving on Billboard magazine's Top 200 Albums chart this week, as Beyonce reigns for a second week at #1 with her self-titled album. I've included highlighted links to buy anything when possible...

With Christmas approaching during the tracking period, understandably most of the big releases have already come out, and the top debut this week shows up down at #22. It's the third full-length album from rapper B.o.B, Underground Luxury. His first, B.o.B Presents The Adventures Of Bobby Ray, went to #1 in 2010..

Pop/punk band WE the Kings come in at #44 with their fourth album Somewhere Somehow, achieving their highest placement yet, even though it's only available on iTunes...

The second soundtrack to the Disney Channel show Austin & Ally, titled Turn It Up arrives at #89. The original soundtrack made it to #27 in 2012...

New York comedic duo Ninja Sex Party, performing as Starbomb, debut at #102 with their same-titled album. It's based on video games (just like Buckner & Garcia's "Pac Man Fever" did thirty years ago)..

The Bach Guild Big Christmas Box, one of Amazonmp3's deep-discount classical titles with 13 hours of music for just 99 cents, jumps in at #124...

Rap group the LOX are back at #141 with their EP The Trinity. Their debut, Money, Power, Respect went to #3 way back in 1998...

The final entry on the chart at #172 is the copyright-holding The Beatles Bootleg Recordings 1963..It's right now only available on iTunes (irony!) for 39,99 for 59 songs...

That's it for now..out of these seven I'd get the Beatles and the Bach box first...
