Country Sweep: November 23, 2013..

The fourth installment of this week's "chart sweeps" is up now, with the newest country songs on the chart in Billboard magazine.

On the Country Airplay chart, Blake Shelton spends a second week at #1 with "Mine Would Be You"..

Also, this week's "chart shenanigans" show up on this chart, as though Luke Bryan's "That's My Kind Of Night" only drops in airplay to place at #9 on this chart, it is dropped to "recurrent" status (which even with their whackadoo rules would only happen once the song would go under #10). Coincidentally, Taylor Swift's "Red" just happens to finally make the top-10 at #10. Wonder what was "negotiated" with the editors by Big Machine to make that happen. Hmmmm...

There are only two new entries on the chart; the first being the extra-hunky Tyler Farr, who follows up his #3 hit "Redneck Crazy" with "Whiskey In My Water" at #58. It's my "Country Pick of the Week"...

and at #60 is Toby Keith with the second single from his Drinks After Work album, "Shut Up And Hold On"...

That's it for this musical round-up...I'll return in an hour and a half to wrap things up with the latest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio.. Twang on!
