Coming in at #2 is the latest John Lewis-ad-related single to make the charts; this time it's Lily Allen covering Keane's #3 hit "Somewhere Only We Know" for the commercial from the British department store for their Christmas campaign. It's Lily's first lead-credit hit since "Who'd Have Known" in 2009...

Placing in third this week is Ellie Goulding, whose John Lewis advert cover of Elton John's "Your Song" gave her a #2 hit in 2010. Her latest, "How Long Will I Love You", is from the movie About Time. It's a remake of a top-40 hit in Ireland by the Scottish rock group the Waterboys...

Lady Gaga arrives at #1 on the albums chart in the UK this week, and two of its tracks make the singles chart as well. First at #9 is her collaboration with R. Kelly, "Do What U Want". It's Kelly's first top-10 since he topped the chart as a featured artist on Ja Rule's "Wonderful" in late 2004...

Arriving at #10 and my "Brit Pick of the Week" is Robbie Williams with one of two tracks from his Swing Both Ways to make the chart this week, "Go Gentle". Aside from his work with Take That, it's Robbie's 32nd trip to the top ten, while seven of those topped the UK chart, the latest with "Candy" last year..

"The Call (No Need To Say Goodbye)", a charity single from the Poppy Girls, five daughters of British military fathers and mothers, comes in at #13 from Remembrance Day sales...

American modern rock hitmakers the Killers enter the albums chart at #6 with their Direct Hits compilation, and the new song from it, "Shot At The Night", is in on its own at #23. It's their thirteenth to reach the top 40 in this country; they've been almost to the top when "When You Were Young" climbed to #2 in 2006. They also enter with another song coming up later...

Justin Bieber's fifth "Music Mondays" single, "All Bad", becomes the fifth to make the top-40 here at #34...

X Factor UK winners Little Mix return with their second album Salute, which comes on the albums chart at #4. While first single "Move"  moves from #3 to #5 on the singles chart, two more songs sell enough on their own to debut as well. At #57 is "These Four Walls"...

15-year-old singer and songwriter Georgina Anderson lost her fight with cancer last Thursday, but after support on Twitter from Simon Cowell and X Factor winner James Arthur for her wish to have her music heard, her song "Two Thirds Of A Piece" comes on the chart at #63, and may move up next week. There's no audio clip available, but you can check out her sweet cover of Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me" by clicking here...

Pop/punk band You Me At Six follow up the biggest hit of their career so far, "Lived A Lie" (#11), with "Hope For The Best" at #75...

The second Gaga track to enter the chart is "Venus" which is in at #76....

The final debut of the week is by a member of the iconic Swedish pop band ABBA, Agnatha Faltskog, with "I Should've Followed You Home" with Gary Barlow at #99.  She's had three solo top-40 hits in the UK, with "If I Thought You'd Ever Change You Mind" reaching #11 in 2004...
