Dance Sweep: September 14, 2013...

We're up to this week's final "chart sweep", and now it's the latest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio making the charts in Billboard magazine...

On the DJ-polled Hot Dance Club Play chart, Kylie Minogue reaches the summit for the sixth consecutive time with "Skirt". I know I should be thrilled, but honestly I'm still tepid on this one (a first)...

The top debut at #37 is French electro-disco stars Daft Punk with Pharrell Williams again in tow for "Lose Yourself To Dance". It succeeds "Get Lucky", which topped the chart here for two weeks (a rarity these days)...

I guess former Disney star Vanessa Hudgens is taking notes from Miley as she enters at #46 with "$$$ex" featuring YLA...

And coming in at #50 is Australian EDM musician tyDi (Tyson Illingworth) along with Melanie Fontana from Connecticut with "Nothing Really Matters"...

Meanwhile, on the radio-monitored "Hot Dance Airplay/Mixshow" chart, Lana Del Rey and Cedric Gervais climb back to the top with "Summertime Sadness" for a fourth week...

Arriving at #19 are Dutch DJs Hardwell and Dyro with "Never Say Goodbye" featuring vocals from Bright Lights. It's my "Dance Pick of the Week"...

..and at #24 is Cedric Gervais again, this time in the lead billing on his rework of Howard Jones' "Things Can Only Get Better"...

That'll do it for tonight....Thanks for stopping by, and have a great night!
