Country Sweep: September 14, 2013...

I'm up to part four of today's "chart sweeps" sampling the songs reaching Billboard magazine's radio charts, and this time it's the latest on country radio...

On the Hot Country Airplay chart (for why I don't use their pathetic "Songs" sales/all-airplay chart, see the last soul sweep, rinse, and repeat), Keith Urban stays at #1 for a second week with "Little Bit Of Everything"...

The big debut of the week is by singer and former "dancer with the stars" Sara Evans, who returns at #57 with "Slow Me Down", my "Country Pick of the Week". Sara has a quartet of #1 country singles to her name, with "A Real Fine Place To Start" her latest in 2005..

At #48 is Kristy Lee Cook, who came in lucky seventh in the seventh season of American Idol (the David Cook year), with "Wherever Love Goes". It features Randy Houser, proud owner of a couple #1 hits with "How Country Feels" and "Runnin' Outta Moonlight". She previously went to #28 with "15 Minutes of Shame" in 2008..

Lastly, at #59, is newcomer Austin Webb with "Slip On By". Last year he made it to #53 with "It's All Good"...

That's it for this country wrapup...I'll close things out in an hour and a half with the newest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio. Twang on!
