twostepcub's music chart for August 2, 2013...

Hey gang, Friday's here, and time to check out my top-100 tunes for the week. Robin Thicke hangs on to #1 for a third week, while Walk Off The Earth (pictured above) jumps into the top-10. Former big hits by Emeli Sande, David Guetta, NERVO, Bruno Mars, and Florida Georgia Line drop off my chart, while songs by DJ Escape, Lorde, and Brett Eldredge make the biggest leaps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red). I can say TGIF at last!

This week's chart has ten debuts (highlighted in blue), and if you click on any of them you'll connect to their official website. And here they are on video, after the break...

(Click below to see the rest of the post)

The top debut of the week at #67 is the fourth single (and second collaboration) from Pink's The Truth About Love album (the other one, "Just Give Me A Reason", falls to #16). "True Love" features English songstress Lily Allen, who has been on my list before with songs like "Smile" and "Fuck You"....

Swedish DJ/producer Avicii's Etta James-sampling "Levels" made my year-end top-20 last year; he's back at #76 with the folkish-tinged "Wake Me Up" featuring Californian singer Aloe Blacc on vocals...

Billy Currington represents the country end of the music spectrum as he enters at #85 with "Hey Girl"...

Las Vegas native D'Manti pops in at #87 with her second hit on my chart after "Tonight", "Let's Just Dance", which is also climbing the Billboard dance club charts...

Soul singer Chrisette Michele comes in at #88 with "A Couple Of Forevers". It's her first to make my chart...

Singer and "dancer with the stars" Gavin DeGraw returns at #90 with his new single "Best I Ever Had". His "Not Over You" made my yearend best chart in both 2011 and 2012...Is it me, or does this sound like he cribbed a Train track?

Hard rock band Five Finger Death Punch team up with metal icon (and out singer) Rob Halford at #94 with their #1 rock hit "Lit Me Up"...

Neo-soul singer Joe is in at #97 with his latest, "I'd Rather Have A Love". He hasn't made my chart since 2000's "Stutter"...

San Franciscan alt-hiphop act wallpaper debuts at #99 with "Good 4 It"...

The final entry of the week is German rapper Cro, who normally dons a panda mask when performing. He's slinking in at #100 with "Whatever", his third single from his debut album Raop to make my chart (it's one of the few all-German CDs available readily here)...

That does it for my top tunes....I'll be back tomorrow with another Song of the Day and my five-part "chart sweep" sampling the songs making the American music charts...see you there!
