Soul Sweep: August 17, 2013...

We're up to the "hump" of this week's five part "chart sweeps" sampling the songs reaching Billboard magazine's radio charts, and now it's time for the latest on R&B radio...

On the main R&B/hiphop Airplay chart, Robin Thicke takes a third week at #1 with "Blurred Lines"...

The high debut at #43 is R&B icon R. Kelly who is back with "My Story" with 2 Chainz in tow. He's gone to #1 on the R&B chart a dozen times before, from "Honey Love" with Public Announcement in 1992 till "Step In The Name Of Love" in 2003...(NSFW)

Newcomer Shaliek debuts at #48 with "The Past", which is already in the top-20 on the adult R&B format...

The last new one on the big chart is rapper Cash Out at #49 with "Another Country"...(NSFW)

Meanwhile, on the older-skewing Adult R&B format,  "Blurred Lines" shows no mercy as it claims yet another chart....

Entering at #36 is newcomer Ywada with "End Of The Road"...

Also coming in with their first at #37 is Andre Mieux with "Bedroom Lovers"...

The last debut at #38 is another first-timer, Leon Timbo, with "Don't Call", my "Soul Pick of the Week"...

That's it for this soul search...I'll be back in 90 with the latest on country radio....Groove on!
