Dance Sweep: August 17, 2013...






Well I'm up to the final part of this week's "chart sweeps" of the new music reaching the charts in Billboard magazine, and I'll close things out with the latest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio...

On the DJ-polled Hot Dance Club Play list, Rihanna gets yet another #1 as "Right Now" featuring David Guetta climbs to the top...

The top debut at #44 is Indian "Bollywood" actress Priyanka Chopra with her for American hit, "Exotic", bringing an everpresent Pitbull for clout.

 Indie-pop duo Capital Cities arrive at #46 with their slow-burn hit "Safe And Sound"...


Swedish electrodance duo Cazzette return at #47 with "Weapon". It's their followup to "Beam Me Up (Kill Mode)", which went to #1 on the club chart last year...


Dance super-duo Armand Van Helden and A-Trak, who record as Duck Sauce, had a huge international hit in 2010 with "Barbra Streisand". They're back at #48 with "It's You", my "Dance Pick of the Week"...


Another big remix team, Static Revenger, team up with Miss Palmer at #49 with "Bullet Train"...


And at #50 is another duo, Ikon and Exodus, with "Shadow Of The Sun". It features Sisely Treasure on vocals - she was features as well on the #1 dance hit "Grass Is Greener"...


Meanwhile, on the radio-monitored Hot Dance Airplay chart, Lana Del Rey takes over the top spot with "Summertime Sadness" with Cedric Gervais providing the remix...

Maroon 5 pop in at #23 with their top-10 pop hit "Love Somebody"...


French DJ/producer Martin Garrix is in at #24 with "Animals"...



Now two thirds of the Swedish House Mafia are represented on the airplay chart as Axwell arrives at #25 with "Center Of The Universe". Sebastian Ingrosso holds at #8 with his "Reload"....
