Brit Sweep: August 4, 2013...

Hey folks, the end of the weekend is here, and time to check out the songs making it on to the just-released weekly sales charts in Britain this week, as Avicii reigns for a third week with "Wake Me Up!"....

On a particularly slow release week, the top debut doesn't come until #12, where singer Eliza Doolittle is at with the first single from his upcoming second album, "Big When I Was Little". In 2010 she reached #5 with "Pack Up", though earlier this year she made the top-10 as a featured artist on Disclosure's "You & Me". This new one's my "Brit Pick of the Week"...

Dance act Clean Bandit arrive at #43 with "Dust Clears". It follows "Mozart's House" which went to #17 earlier this year...

London drum and bass producer Shy FX (real name Andre Williams) enters at #55 with "Soon Come" featuring Liam Bailey, a singer who was featured on two top-5 hits - "Blind Faith" by Chase and Status, and "Breathe" by Delilah....

The final debut at #72 is Britney Spears with the horrid "Ooh La La" from the Smurfs 2 movie...

That's it for tonight....I'll return tomorrow with another Song of the Day, part two of this week's "album sweep", and my Robbed Hit for the week...
