Soul Sweep: July 20, 2013...

Hey gang, I'm at the "hump" of this week's "chart sweeps" sampling the songs making the radio charts at Billboard magazine, and now I'm up to the newest on R&B radio...

On the main R&B/HipHop Airplay chart, J. Cole and Miguel spend their third week on top with "Power Trip"....

The top entry at #38, and my "Soul Pick of the Week" is Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake with "Holy Grail". As a lead artist, he has scored four #1 hits on the R&B chart...(NSFW)

Memphis rapper Yo Gotti arrives at #42 with "Act Right". He's had three top-40 hits on the R&B list so far....

The final entry at 45 is Macklemore & Ryan Lewis with Ray Dalton and their former #1 pop hit "Can't Hold Us"...

Meanwhile, on the older-skewing Adult R&B radio panel, Alicia Keys and Maxwell remain at #1 for a fourth non-consecutive week with "Fire We Make"...

Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child comes in at #37 with "If We Had Your Eyes"...

...and the other debut at #38 is gospel artist Tye Tribbett with "If He Did It Before...Same God"...

That's it for the soul side of the house...I'll return in 90 with the latest on country radio. Groove on!
