Soul Sweep: June 15, 2013...

We're up to the "hump" of this week's five-part "chart sweeps" of the latest songs to make the Billboard charts, and now it's the newest R&B songs on the radio...

On the main R&B/HipHop Airplay chart, rapper Wale reigns for a sixth week with "Bad"....

The single debut on the chart at #48 is rap artist Ace Hood with "We Outchea" featuring Lil' Wayne. It's the third track from his upcoming Trials and Tribulations set to make the R&B chart, and the followup to the top-10 hit "Bugatti"...

Meanwhile, on the more mature Adult R&B format, Tamar Braxton hangs in for week number nine with "Love And War"...

"Blue-eyed" soul star Robin Thicke comes in this chart with two debuts - first at #25 is "For The Rest Of My Life". This is my "Soul Pick of the Week"...I'm so looking forward to his new album...

Canadian neo-soul singer Glenn Lewis returns at #30 with "Can't Say Love". He reached the top-10 on the main R&B chart in 2001 with "Don't You Forget It"...

R&B vocal group Hi-Five are back at #36 with "Favorite Girl". They had six top-10 hits on the main R&B chart in the 90s...

And as promised, the second of Thicke's tracks, the top-10 pop hit "Blurred Lines", arrives on the chart at #38...

That's a wrap for this installment...I'll be back with the newest country songs on the radio...
