French Sweep: June 11, 2013...






Hey gang, it's time to check out the latest songs making the charts in France this week, as Daft Punk rack up a seventh straight week (out of 7 on the chart) with "Get Lucky"..

The top debut of the week belongs to Lynnsha, Fanny J, and Louisy Joseph, who get together for a remake of the 1990 #1 French hit "Maldon". The new single (below is a teaser clip) is at #36...

Rapper Rohff, who was born in the island nation of the Comoros but emigrated to France as a child, debuts at #43 with "Dounia". He topped the chart here back in 2001 with "Qui Est L'exemple"...


French electrohouse producer Martin Solveig returns at #55 with the first single released since his amazing Smash album, which spun off four big hits. "Hey Now" features The Cataracs and Kyle, and it's my "French Pick of the Week"...


Vocal legend Johnny Hallyday enters at #62 with "20 Ans" ("20 Years"). He will turn 70 on the 15th..


Israeli-born French singer Tal is back at #65 with "Danse", featuring rapper Flo Rida. She went top-5 twice here, with "Le Sens De La Vie" reaching #4...


Scottish DJ/producer Calvin Harris moves in at #82 with his worldwide hit "I Need Your Love" featuring Ellie Goulding...


Another record moving into the top-100 is rock band Skip The Use, from the northern city of Ronchin on the Belgian border, with "Cup Of Coffee" at #87. Last year they had their first top-40 hit with "Ghost"...


The final entry of the week is an underwhelming one for Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull, who return at #89 with "Live It Up"...
