Country Sweep: June 15, 2013...

We're up to part four of this week's "chart sweeps" of the new songs making their way on to Billboard magazine's singles charts, and this time out it's the newest country tracks on the radio...

On the Hot Country Airplay chart, Tim McGraw claims his 26th #1 hit with "Highway Don't Care" featuring Taylor Swift and Keith Urban...

The top debut of the week at #51 is singer David Nail with "Whatever She's Got". Nail topped the chart in 2011 with "Let It Rain"...

The third single from Dustin Lynch's debut album, "Wild In Your Smile", arrives at #53. The first, "Cowboys And Angels", went all the way to #2 last year...

The first single from Dierks Bentley's upcoming album Riser rises on the chart at #56. "Bourbon In Kentucky" features Kacey Musgraves on backup. It's my "Country Pick of the Week"...

..the new winner of Dancing With The Stars, country singer and former American Idol contestant Kellie Pickler now pops in at #57 with "Someone Somewhere Tonight". She's had one track reach the top-10, 2008's "Best Days Of Your Life"...

After Brooks & Dunn split up, Kix Brooks has been trying his best to get a bonified hit of his own, but so far his first post-B&D album hasn't been able to put a song in the top-30. He tries again at #58 with the fifth single released from his New To This Town set, "There's The Sun". Hey guess what, Kix? Maybe put a real freakin' VEVO station up on YouTube with your singles and maybe people will actually notice, eh?...

There's The Sun

..Well, that's it for the country side of things...I'll finish things off later with the latest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio. Twang on!
