twostepcub's music chart for May 17, 2013...

This week Pink and fun. singer Nate Ruess take over the top spot, while Miranda Lambert (pictured above) gets her drunk ass on in the top-10. There are eleven new songs on my list this week (highlighted in blue), and if you click on them you'll go to their offiical website for more info, tours, etc. And here they are, after the break...(WOOSH!)...

The top entry at #80 is Miami newcomer Sophi (Alvarez), who is in with her first top-10 club hit "This Is Our Love"....

French uber-DJ David Guetta is back with the eighth song from his expended Nothing But The Beat album to make my chart. "Play Hard" at #85 features R&B singers Ne-Yo and Akon and a music video apparently aimed to replicate the "everything and the kitchen sink" quality of PSY's "Gangnam Style"...

The third single from country jam act the Zac Brown Band's third album Uncaged, "Jump Right In", jumps in at #88...

Indie-soul group Fitz & The Tantrums arrive at #90 with "Out Of My League". Their excellent first album is on sale for five bucks at Amazon...

Country singer and Entertainer Of The Year winner Luke Bryan returns at #91 with "Crash My Party"...

28-year-old Avril Lavigne is back at #92 with "Here's To Never Growing Up", co-written with creepy fiance Chad Kroeger (who's 38) of Nickelback (along with three other people....really? really?). Seriously, I don't think Avril could sing a Radiohead song off the top of her head to save her life.

Neo-soul singer Anthony Hamilton pops in at #93 with "Best Of Me". His duet with Jill Scott, "So In Love", made my year-end top-100 two years ago..

As American Idol crowns another victor tonight (hell if I know who's running), third-season winner and current basket case Fantasia comes in at #96 with her latest, "Lose To Win" (referring to her mind, perhaps?)...

Tampa native Matt Hires gets his first hit on my chart with "Restless Heart" at #97. It was my "pop pick of the week" a few back..

Heavy metal "supergroup" Device, led by Disturbed frontman David Draiman, torches in at #98 with "Vilify", their debut single and new #1 mainstream rock hit..(NSFW)

The final entry at #99 is St. Louis rapper Nelly with his automotive comeback "Hey Porsche"...

That's it for tonight.. thanks for stopping by, and I'll be back tomorrow with another Song of the Day and my five-part "chart sweeps" of the new music reaching Billboard magazine's singles charts. Good night!
