French video director and musician Yoann Lemoine, who records under the moniker Woodkid, has shot videos for Katy Perry ("Teenage Dream") and Taylor Swift ("Back To December"). Parisian rapper La Fouine ("The Weasel") has the top-selling album in France this week with DrĂ´le de Parcours ("Funny Course"), and four of that set's tracks debut individually on the singles chart. First up at #54 is "Paname Boss", featuring hiphop peers Sniper, Niro, Youssapha, Canardo, Fababy, and Sultan 7. Previously, Fouine has had seven top-40 hits in this country...

Actress and singer Lou Doillon, from the Parisian suburbs, gets her second top-100 French hit as "Devil Or Angel" comes in at #69...

The second La Fouine track to enter this week is "Ma Meilleure" ("My Best") featuring singer Zaho at #74 (this one is my fave of the lot)...

Indie-punk pioneers the Pixies arrive at #78 with a song from their 1988 debut album Surfer Rosa, "Where Is My Mind?" The song got exposure recently on an episode of the wildly popular Criminal Minds TV show. This is their first ever French hit single...

"Zouk" singers Kim et Marvin debut at #83 with "Ne T'en Va Pas" ("Don't Go Away"), their first hit and a tender ballad...

The third entry from La Fouine at #84 is the pairing of "Red Bull & Vodka"...

Followed by the last debut of the week at #93, "A L'Epoque" ("At The Time")...

That's it for France this week...I'll be back later as I cross the border to check out the latest in Germany. Au revoir!
