Aussie Sweep: February 13, 2013...

G'day mates, I'm back to check out the latest songs making their way on to the official singles sales chart in Australia this week, as Macklemore & Ryan Lewis spend a fourth week at #1 with "Same Love" (and eleventh consecutive week overall).

Rocketing on to the chart at #6 this week is Pink, with the third single from her latest CD The Truth About Love. "Just Give Me A Reason" features Nate Ruess, lead singer of the newly-crowned Grammy Best New Artist of the Year fun.

Comic musical trio The Lonely Island score their fourth top-40 hit in this country as "YOLO" featuring rapper Kendrick Lamar and Maroon 5's Adam Levine arrives at #31. Two of their jams, "Jizz In My Pants" and "I Just Had Sex", reached the top-10...

Fall Out Boy are back at #36 with "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark". They've reached the top-10 twice in Australia, with "Thks fr th Mmrs" going to #3 in 2007...

Las Vegas rockers Imagine Dragons arrive at this country's chart at #50 with "It's Time", their long-running American hit...

British singer Rita Ora returns at #56 with "Radioactive" (not to be confused with the Imagine Dragons song). She has gone to the top-10 with both "R.I.P." and "How We Do (Party)" in the past year...

British rapper Dizzee Rascal, one of my favorite hip-hop artists currently, jitters in at #63 with his new one, 'Bassline Junkie", a viral top-10 hit in the UK. He's been to the top-40 four times here, with both "Dance Wiv Me" and "Bonkers" reaching #13...(NSFW)

The last debut on the chart this week is American rapper A$AP Rocky, with his first hit here, "F**kin' Problems" (NSFW, natch)..

That's it for tonight...I'll return tomorrow with another Song of the Day, Candletime, 7 of the 70s, and 8 from the 80s. Good night!

PS - This is post  number 2,200. Wow. Thanks everyone who have happened around here to my corner of the intertubes.
