Welcome back to this week's recap of the new songs making their first appearance on the top-100 singles chart in Germany this week, as will.i.am and Britney Spears' "Scream & Shout" claims the #1 spot. It's his first solo chart-topper, and Britney's third...

The top debut this week is by British boyband Blue, who have placed five previous song into the top-10 in this country, with their version of "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word" with Elton John making it to #4 in 2002. They return with their sixth at #7 with "Hurt Lovers". It's the theme to the German movie Schlussmacher ("Circuit Maker"), about a business set up to break couples up...Grade B+

New Jersey's own Bon Jovi leap in at #39 with their latest, "Because We Can". The rockers have grown bigger here as time went on - they didn't get their first of their eight top-10 hits until the 90s, and their biggest single in Germany so far is "It's My Life" which went to #2 in 2000. Grade: C+


David Bowie's new single, "Where Are We Now?", which name-checks a bunch of older Berlin landmarks, arrives at #47. The Thin White Duke has had eight top-10 singles in Germany, with his biggest being "Let's Dance" which went to #2 in 1983. Grade: A-


English singer/songwriter Jessie J previously went to #3 in 2011 with "Price Tag", and she returns now at #66 with "Silver Lining (Crazy About You)", from the Academy Award nominated Silver Linings Playbook. Grade: C+


Swedish EDM master Avicii arrives at #69 with "I Could Be The One" featuring Dutch producer Nicky Romero. Avicii previously went to #6 here with "Levels". Grade: B


As American hip-hop duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis jump to #27 with their breakthrough "Thrift Shop", they also debut at #97 with "Can't Hold Us" featuring Ray Dalton. Grade: A-


The last entry at #98 is from the Glee-tastic movie Pitch Perfect accredited to the "Barden Bellas" with their scene-killing "Bellas Finals", with a mashup of Jessie J's "Price Tag", Simple Minds' "Don't You (Forget About Me)", and more. Grade: B+
