Album Sweep: January 19, 2013...

Hey folks, it's time for this week's "album sweep" sampling the new records spending their first week on the Top 200 Albums chart in Billboard magazine. Again, since the post-holiday release doldrums cause only three records to make it on this week's list, I'll do it in one post, and like usual, I've linked to where to buy everything if possible.

The highlights soundtrack to Les Miserables finally makes it to the #1 position this week with just under 100 thousand sold.

The top debut this week is by unsigned Bergen County, New Jersey band Action Item with their 7-song EP Resolution at #72. It's a great disc for those who like power-pop like Plain White T's and Lifehouse...

Entering at #115 is the latest special release in the Now That's.... series, titled Now That's What I Call A Workout. An iTunes exclusive, the set contains 18 remixed hits to get your blood pumping...

The final debut this week is by jazz-pop Grammy collector Norah Jones, with Covers at #121. It was originally part of a vinyl box set from the singer, and it's only available at Target stores...

All three are worth picking up....that's it for now, I'll return later on with the latest in Britain...see you then!
