Dance Sweep: January 5, 2013...

It's time to close out today's "chart sweeps" with the latest dance songs making the charts on Billboard magazine.

The top entry this week is by German producer Zedd, who follows up his #1 club hit "Spectrum" with the title track from his new album Clarity at #44...

Canadian trance act Delerium return at #46 with "Days Turn Into Nights", featuring vocals by Michael Logan. The group has topped the dance club chart three times, the last time with "Dust In Gravity" in 2009...

Martin Kierzenbaum, head of A&R for Cherrytree Records (Lady GaGa's label), records as well under the moniker Cherry Cherry Boom Boom, and he scored his second club hit at #48 with "One And Only"...

Newcomer ZoOom comes in at #49 with his first hit, "Party In Here"...

The final entry is the third club hit by L.A. singer Kwanza Jones, with "Supercharged" at #50. She took "Think Again" to the top-20 last year...

Meanwhile, over on the radio-monitored Dance Airplay chart, the Swedish House Mafia with John Martin hang on to #1 for a ninth week with "Don't You Worry Child"...

The top entry here is by the British dance-pop act Sam and the Womp! with a track that should've been the novelty hit of the year if it wasn't for some Korean guy. They're in at #23 with their #1 UK pop hit "Bom Bom"...

The other debut is by German DJ Markus Schulz with "Love Rain Down" featuring vocals by Seri.  He's got a huge following in Europe, but in the States the only other notable record he's had under his own name was "You Won't See Me Cry" which made the club top-40 in 2000, but he's done some excellent work both in remixing others' work as well as his own...

Lastly, over on the Global Dance Tracks chart, SHM's "Don't You Worry Child" is also #1 for a thirteenth non-consecutive week...

The top entry at #13 is "Scream & Shout" by will.i.am with Britney Spears. It follows his #2 hit on this chart, "This Is Love"...

Fabio Lendrum is at #37 with his first hit "Out The Water", and out of all these I'm feeling this a lot...

I'm gonna close with the song at #39, "Oops Up (Side Your Head)", by Guenta K Meets Big Daddi...

Well that's a wrap for today....thank you for stopping by, and I'll be back tomorrow with another Song of the Day, candletime, this week's album recap, and a look at what's going on in Britain. Goodnight!
