Country Sweep: December 22, 2012...

Welcome back, I'm up to part four of today's "chart sweeps" of the newest songs making it on to the weekly music singles charts at Billboard magazine. This time out it's the latest at country radio...

On the Country Airplay chart, newcomers Florida Georgia Line spend an incredible third week at #1 with their first single, "Cruise". It's the first time this year any act has had a song stay at the top for more than two weeks...

The top debut at #51 is another new act, family group The Henningsens, with "American Beautiful"...

The other two entries are both by the same artist, Blake Shelton, from his holiday album Cheers, It's Christmas. That set already has two songs on the chart, with "Jingle Bell Rock" in the top-40. at #57 is his version of "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" (I'm sure this is going to gain momentum with the storms in the center of the country)...

...and at #59 is "Blue Christmas" featuring the Pistol Annies, which include his wife Miranda Lambert...

That does it for this short but sweet country sweep, I'll be back later to wrap things up with the newest dance songs at the clubs and on the radio. Twang on!
