Soul Sweep: November 17, 2012...

Let's get down to the third part of today's "chart sweeps" with the latest R&B songs making the weekly music charts at Billboard magazine.

On the R&B/HipHop Airplay chart, Miguel remains at #1 for a ninth week with "Adorn"...

The top debut this week is by rapper Young Jeezy with the preview track from his upcoming album, "Get Right", at #49. He has one #1 single as a lead artist, "Soul Survivor" in 2005...(NSFW)

Kendrick Lamar takes "Poetic Justice" from his debut album to #53 this week. With Drake in tow, the song cribs Janet Jackson's "Anytime Anyplace". His first official single, "Swimming Pools (Drank)" went to #5 here...

Rapper A$AP Rocky is at #58 with "F**ckin Problems".  He took "Goldie" to #65 in the summer...(MAJOR NSFW)

Tex James debuts at #62 with the intellectual track "Smart Girl (Dumb Booty)" featuring Stuey Rock and B.o.B...(somewhat NSFW for the abundance of bouncing booty)

Singer/songwriter Ne-Yo arrives at #67 with "Don't Make Em Like You" featuring rapper Wiz Khalifa. 2008's "Miss Independent" was his sole #1 as a lead artist so far...and the bridge on this is crazy....

Newcomer Beatking comes in at #69 with "U Ain't Bout That Life"...(NSFW)

Chicago rapper Chief Keef pops in at #72 with "Love Sosa". It follows "I Don't Like", which went to #20 here...(NSFW)

Thankfully back to soul music, the final entry at #75 is singer/model Tyrese with "Best Of Me". He went to #3 with "How You Gonna Act Like That" in 2003...

Meanwhile, on the more serene Adult R&B (Urban AC) radio format chart, Miguel's "Adorn" also claims the #1 spot for its first week...

The single debut here is by British soul singer Lianne La Havas, with her sublime "Lost & Found". By far this outshines anything else here....

That does it for this helping of R&B and hiphop, I'll return later for the newest on Country Radio..
