Songoftheday 11/9/12 - You can call me at midnight, 'cause I'll be waiting at home...

Steel Breeze - "Dreamin' Is Easy"
from the album Steel Breeze (1982)
Billboard Hot 100 peak: #30 (three weeks)
Weeks in the top-40: 6

Today's Song of the Day is by the American pop/rock outfit Steel Breeze, who scored their first top-40 single in the fall of 1982 with "You Don't Want Me Anymore". The band's followup to that hit was "Dreamin' Is Easy", a similar power-pop song written by guitarist Ken Goorabian....

The single was their second and final top-40 hit. Lead singer Ric Jacobs eventually left the group, and was replaced by Kevin Chalfant, who would sing on Journey side-project the Storm's top-40 hit, "I've Got A Lot To Learn About Love" in 1991.

And here's the group performing the song on Solid Gold (lord, did I love that show)...
