Dance Sweep: August 18, 2012...

Hey folks, it's time to wrap up today's "chart sweeps" of the latest music making the charts in Billboard magazine, and this time out I'll bring you the new club jams making the grade.

On the DJ-polled Hot Dance Club Play chart, Jennifer Lopez reclaims the #1 spot with "Goin' In" featuring Flo Rida. She was at the top twelve weeks ago with "Dance Again".

The top debut goes to rapper/singer/freak Nicki Minaj, who has hit #1 twice this year supporting both David Guetta ("Turn Me On") and Madonna ("Give Me All Ur Lovin'"). She arrives at #43 with "Pound The Alarm"...(NSFW)

Rapper Flo Rida, featured on this week's #1 dance hit, pops in at #46 with remixes of his top-10 pop hit "Whistle"..

Label rep, songwriter, and producer for the likes of Lady GaGa and Frankmusik, Martin Kierszenbaum also records under the moniker of Cherry Cherry Boom Boom, and his single "Come Back From San Francisco" enters at #47..

Mexican singer Paulina Rubio has also been popular in American clubs, sending the 2002 single "Don't Say Goodbye" into the top-5, and earlier this year "Heat Of The Night" into the top-20. Her latest at #48 is "Boys Will Be Boys"...

...and at #50 is Black Eyed Peas frontman and The Voice UK judge will.i.am along with Dutch singer Eva Simons (who had the #1 dance song five weeks ago with "I Don't Like You") on "This Is Love". It also enters at #38 on the Global Dance Songs list.

On the radio-monitored Hot Dance Airplay/Mixshow chart, Calvin Harris and Ne-Yo's "Let's Go" stays on top for a sixth week. There's only one debut on this weeks chart, Swedish DJ John De Sohn and singer Andreas Moe at #24 with "Long Time"...I really like the production in this video...

Over on the worldwide club-polled Global Dance Tracks chart, Rihanna's "Where Have You Been" remains at #1 for a third week. The highest debut is by Australian sister act NERVO, who had a charting hit here earlier in the year with "We're All No One". They're back with "You're Gonna Love Again" at #33...

American foursome Scissor Sisters had placed a #3 hit on the Global chart back in 2006 with "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'", and return at #34 this week with the Calvin Harris-produced "Only The Horses"...

That's it for today...thanks again for dropping by, and stay tuned tomorrow for part one of this week's "album sweep" of the newest records selling across America, as well as the Olympic wind-up "Brit Sweep" of the latest in the UK. Cheers!
