Dance Sweep: August 4, 2012...


Hey everyone, it's time for today's final "Chart Sweep" of the Billboard magazine weekly charts. This time out is the latest on the Dance Club Play, Mixshow/Airplay, and Global Dance Songs lists.

On the Club chart, Katy Perry's "Wide Awake" takes over the top spot.

The top debut is by France's favorite diva, Madonna, with the third charting single from her MDNA album. She's had an astonishing 42 #1 hits on the club list, from 1983's "Holiday" to this year's "Girl Gone Wild". Coming in at #39 is "Turn Up The Radio"...

...and French DJ David Guetta's "I Can Only Imagine" featuring Chris Brown and Lil' Wayne arrives at #47. He's had two #1 club hits this year, with "Turn Me On" (featuring Nicki Minaj) from his Nothing But The Beat album, and supporting "Jack Back" on "Wild One Two".


Meanwhile, on the Dance Airplay/Mixshow chart, Calvin Harris' "Let's Go" remains on top, while last week's #1 club hit "How We Do (Party)", by Rita Ora, debuts at #23...


...as Australian sister act NERVO arrive at #25 with "You're Gonna Love Again"...


And on the Global Dance Songs list, as Rihanna's "Where Have You Been" takes over the #1 position, Swedish DJ Avicii, who is still in the top-10 with "Silhouettes", break in all the way up at #23 with "Superlove" featuring Lenny Kravitz on vocals...


Florence + The Machine's "Spectrum (Say My Name)" enters at #38...


and at #39 is German singer Oceana, with a song that was used recently in the Euro 2012 soccer tournament, and was a top-5 hit in her home country, "Endless Summer"...
