Kraut Sweep: June 26, 2012...

Hey everyone, thanks for hangin' in there with my delayed schedule, now it's time to sample the new music hitting the stores and radio in Germany this week...the highest debut is a song I showed in the French Sweep, and Chris Brown's "Don't Wake Me Up" comes in all the way up at #28 here.

At #31 is the winner of Germany's version of The Voice, Berlin's Ivy Quainoo (pictured above), who follows up her excellent #2 hit "Do You Like What You See", which even made my personal chart earlier this year,  with "You Got Me"...

Bringing on the onslaught of soccer/football songs, Kay One debut at #54 with "Finale Wir Kommen" ("We get to the Finals") featuring Shindy...mind you they still have to beat Italy for this..

Next up at #58 is the charity single 1000 Meilen, 1000 Worte by "Wilde Flamme", benefitting a children's home in the South Tyrol section of Italy. Not sure who these guys are, but any benefit record's alright by me.

London electronic act Nero cross over at #67 with their 2011 #1 British hit, "Promises"...

Also from Britain, Ed Sheeran arrives at #83 with his former UK top-5 hit "Lego House"...

At #90 is the former top-10 American hit by rap superstars Jay-Z and Kanye West being "Ni**az in Paris"...

...and to round it off another soccer-related novelty, comedian Matze Knop with Waldi Hartmann in "Die Besten In Europa" (we'll see)...

Good luck, Germany! (but I'll still be rooting for Italy...)
