99. Yeah 3X - Chris Brown (DEBUT)
100. Celui - Colonel Reyel (DEBUT)

There are nine new songs on my list (debuts highlighted in yellow). I've included previous classic hits in youtube links in orange.

First up is singer Consuelo Costin, who was born in New York, but after time in Europe calls LA her home. Her first hit single pairs her with DJs Finbarr Massi and Dan DeLeon for the seductive dance track "Naked"...

Next is another debut single, this time by an indie rock duo from Sacramento, CA named Middle Class Rut. Zack Lopez and Sean Stockham have been playing the circuit for awhile, garnering some buzz in England a few years back, but "New Low" marks their first big hit in the US...

There are two brothers on my chart separately - Charles Kelley from Lady Antebellum and the next artist, his brother Josh. Josh Kelley first had big success in adult-rock, where he scored two top-10 hits with "Amazing" (which was also a top-40 pop hit) and "Only You". Taking cues from his brother, Josh released a three-song EP of country songs that are a nice variation of his pop work, and his first country radio hit from it is "Georgia Clay". He also just happens to be married to one Katherine Heigl. Hmmm...

English singer Jessica Cornish, or Jessie J as she records by, is another BRIT school alum like Adele and Amy Winehouse, and recently won the "Critic's Choice Award" at the BRIT awards a couple weeks ago. She also has written hits for some big American artists, most notably "Party In The USA" for one Miley Cyrus. Since then she has placed two singles in the UK top-10 concurrently, with "Do It Like A Dude" hitting the runner-up spot, while, her second single becomes her first #1 in her homeland, and her first Billboard Hot 100 hit in America. She gets some help from rapper B.o.B, who's pretty hot following his big hits "Nothin' On You" and "Airplanes". The result, "Price Tag" does sound a little like a cooler, more retro "PITUSA"...

Romanian siren Elena Apostoleanu, otherwise known as Inna, had a huge European smash with "Hot" that went #1 in a number of countries, and top-10 in Britain, along with a #1 placing on US dance radio. Her followup "Amazing" was an even bigger hit in France, and her third placing on my list has a video that makes me really wish summer would come sooner. Here's "Sun Is Up"...

London drum-and-bass act Chase & Status had their first UK top-10 success with one of my favorite acts of last year, Plan B, with "End Credits". That song can be found on their CD No More Idols, as well as their latest, a top-5 hit featuring British R&B singer Liam Bailey, and it's called "Blind Faith"...

Southern California metalcore act Avenged Sevenfold are probably hoping their third #2 US Rock hit following 2005's "Bat Country" and last year's "Nightmare" makes their first #1 with the anthemic grind of "Welcome To The Family"...

Chris Brown had it big. Two #1 singles with "Run It" and "Kiss Kiss", as well as a dozen other top-40 hits. Then came his assault on Rihanna, which surprisingly didn't completely kill his career off, though it took a wedding-video meme charm of "Forever" and some laying low to wear off the bad will (though Rihanna's masochistic flaunting didn't hurt). His latest is a throwback to his earlier Jackson-esque dance-R&B, and it's called "Yeah 3X"...

The final debut on my chart is by dancehall singer Colonel Reyel from the French island of Guadeloupe (home of the reggae style zouk), with his first big hit on the French chart, with "Celui" (He).

That last one REALLY makes me wish for the beach. Oh well, happy winter!

This week there are eight new songs on my list (marked in yellow), and I've included link to their earlier video classics (highlighted in orange). The first is by Georgia-based Zac Brown Band, with a song first previewed on their Pass The Jar live collection, and thankfully released on their latest CD You Get What You Give. It's easily my favorite song of theirs, and likely to follow the five-time #1 success of songs like "Chicken Fried" and "As She's Walking Away". Here's "Colder Weather"...

Next up is the Far East Movement with their follow-up to the US #1 hit "Like A G6". This time they bring a song co-written by Bruno Mars and featuring OneRepublic's lead singer Ryan Tedder on vocals. Here's "Rocketeer"...

Taio Cruz is back with a track that on his CD Rokstarr is solo, in America features Gym Class Heroes alum Travie McCoy, and in the rest of the world (and my preferred version) Kylie Minogue. In fact, on the US dance chart there a version featuring all three, and looks to be a #1 followup to "Break Your Heart" and "Dynamite", and he's taking this one "Higher"...

Chicago melodic hardcore act Rise Against have had two top-3 hits on the alternative rock chart - "Re-Education (Through Labor)" and "Savior", and look to make it a hat trick with their latest, "Help Is On The Way"...

DJ Jipsta is from Clifton, NJ, and has his third top-10 dance hit following "Middle Of The Dancefloor" and "I Want Your Sex" with a song featuring 90 house music singer Sandy B, who has had two #1 club hits of her own with "Make The World Go Round" and "Ain't No Need To Hide". Here's the ambitious "Party Of The Year"...

Passion Pit is a US electro-pop band from Massachusetts that have scored top-40 modern rock hits with "Little Secrets" and "The Reeling", and now have their first top-20 dance hit with the song "Sleepyhead". All 3 are worth a listen...

Sean Combs, aka Puff Daddy, aka Diddy, aka not sure, is back with an new image, and a new trio with two singers called Diddy-Dirty Money. As a lead artist, Diddy had two #1 US pop hits out of the gate with "Can't Nobody Hold Me Down" and "I'll Be Missing You". In his new outfit, he's more introspective, with a song co-written by Skylar Grey, who formerly recorded under the name Holly Brook and had a #4 pop hit with "Where'd You Go". Here's "Coming Home"...

Finally R&B legend El DeBarge is back is my chart just in time for him to cancel his 'comeback' tour and enter rehab. I hope he gets the help he needs, because he is such a great talent, with his work with his family act (DeBarge) as well as his solo work with one US top-3 hit ("Who's Johnny"). His latest is a duet with Faith Evans, who's gone through a lot on her own (especially as the widow of the Notorious BIG), but also with a couple #2 R&B hits ("Love Like This" and "I Love You"). Here's the smooth retro soul of "Lay With You"...

Gimme the wheel!

There are seven new songs on my list (marked in yellow), and the highest is by septuagenarian Yoko Ono, who is looking to extend her run of seven #1 hits on the US Dance Club chart including "Walking On Thin Ice" and "Give Me Something". Her latest is a remixed track from her 1972 album Approximately Infinite Universe. Here's the Morel mix of "Move On Fast"...

Next up is Greek DJ Yiannis, who enlists his music label bigshot producer/singer Georgie Porgie for his first hit, "I Need Love". GP isn't a bad choice, considering he's had five #1 dance hits already, from "Love's Gonna Save The Day" in 2002 to "Can You Feel That Sound" in 2008.

British rockers Mumford & Sons just lost out on a New Artist Grammy, but their second concurent hit following "Little Lion Man" is gaining ground at modern rock radio. Here's "The Cave"...

After sporting supporting runs on my chart with songs by Enrique Iglesias, Usher, and Nicola Fasano (the last two still on my top 100), Puerto Rican rapper Pitbull has his third top-10 pop hit as a lead artist (after "I Know You Want Me" and "Hotel Room Service") with the help of the Auto-tune master, T-Pain, who hasn't seen the top-10 since last year's "Blame It" with Jamie Foxx. Here's "Hey Baby (Drop It On The Floor)"...

Clay Walker came out of the box running, with five of his first six singles hitting #1 on the country chart, beginning with "What's It To You" in 1993. After another #1 in 1997, "Rumor Has It", Walker has led a steady career, with a total of seventeen top-10 hits. His latest top-30 hit is "Where Do I Go From You"...

Alter Bridge is made up of three of the four members of Creed (or, three of the three non-douchey members of Creed), along with lead singer Myles Kennedy. They have scored two top-3 songs on US Mainstream Rock radio with 2004's "Open Your Eyes" and 2007's "Rise Today". Their newest is already their first #1 on that chart, and it's called "Isolation"...

I end this with Canadian Avril Lavigne, who previews her upcoming CD with the teen-rock that gave her a #1 US hit with "Girlfriend". Her newest is the mouthy "What The Hell"...

Play them off, Arcade Fire...

There are nine new songs on my chart (marked in yellow). I've included previous video links in orange.

The highest debut this week is from P!nk, who just had her second solo #1 single with "Raise Your Glass" (Her first was in 2008 with "So What") Her latest is an awesome anthem of empowerment that has a very moving video. Here's "Fuckin' Perfect"...

Next up is dance-music singer Zayra, who originally appeared on Rock Star: Supernova before scoring a top-5 dance hit with "VIP". Her latest hit is "Baby Like To Bang"...

Country duo Sugarland have had five #1 country hits, including the two-week charttopper "Want To". Their new hit is in the country top-20, and it's "Little Miss"...

And now for the new single from Britney Spears, who previews her Femme Fatale CD with "Hold It Against Me". It became her fourth #1 US pop hit, following her debut "Baby One More Time", her "comeback" single "Womanizer" and 2009's "3".

Chicago nu-metal rock outfit Disturbed are back to hopefully repeat the success they've had with #1 rock singles "Land Of Confusion", "Inside The Fire", and "Another Way To Die". The latter hit comes from the same CD (Asylum) as their new song, "The Animal"...

There are two songs on my chart named "Emergency", the dance hit by BT and this R&B hit from singer Tank (real name Durrell Babbs). Tank previously had a #1 Adult R&B single with "Please Don't Go" in 2007, and his latest is already in the top-5 there.

Female guitarist/singer Orianthi has her followup to the top-10 adult-pop hit "According To You" with some help from rock band Flyleaf's lead singer Lacey Sturm. Here's "Courage"...

Craig Campbell hails from Lyons, Georgia, and his debut single is the traditional country of "Family Man"...

And finally Dance singer Julissa Veloz follows "Take Control" with her second top-20 dance hit. Here's "Tiara Girl" from American Idol with "Predator"...

'Predator' (Original Radio Mix) - Julissa Veloz by Carrillo Music

And now to head up to watch the game. Go Packers!
