twostepcub's music chart for March 25, 2011...

Hey folks, it's time for my top-100 tunes for the week. This week Pink stays a fuckin' second week on top, while Lady Gaga (pictured above) roars into the runner-up spot. A former big hit by Luke Bryan drops out, while tracks by Sara Evans, Foo Fighters, and Tim/Berg make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red). Link-O-Rama is still in effect, so you can click on any of the highlighted artists to go to their website. Where exactly is spring again?

There were a dozen new songs on last week's list, and this week has a half-dozen more (marked in yellow). I've included older videos form the artists (links highlighted in orange).

The highest debut is the latest single from Usher. The R&B powerhouse has his first US #1 hit with "Nice N Slow" in 1998. He's had eight more charttoppers since then, including his biggest, "Yeah" from 2004. "More" is most visible on basketball commercials right now, but it's a great jam nonetheless...

Next up is newcomer Alyssa Rubino from Canada, with her first dance hit with "Keep On Dancing"...

Neither of the two sisters who comprise R&B/Gospel duo Mary Mary are actually named Mary, but no matter, Erica and Tina have become the hottest gospel group in the last 10 years. After hitting the pop top-40 with "Shackles (Praise You)" in 2000, they have cut a consistent career in Christian music, as well as branching out into other genres, as their latest CD The Sound featured two #1 Dance hits with "Get Up" and "God In Me", and their latest single has already crossed over to be a top-20 dance hit as well as a top-5 Adult R&B single, and it's "Walking"...

The queen of the auto-tune is back, and no it isn't Rebecca Black. No No No No No. It's Ke$ha, who rode the robotrain to the biggest hit of last year, "Tik Tok". Her second US #1, "We R Who We R", is still riding its way down my list, while her newest, "Blow" has a typically Kay-dollarsign-ha crazy-ass video with none other than James friggin' VanderBeek. With Unicorns. Behold, "Blow"...

Keith Urban placed 11 songs at #1 on the US Country chart, most recently with "Only You Can Love Me This Way" in 2009. My personal fave is 2004's "You'll Think Of Me". His latest has the soft acoustic feel of the latter, and it's called "Without You"...

The last new entry is by the winner of last years Eurovision song contest with the song "Satellite", and amazingly will represent her home country Germany again in this years competition. It's with a song that's already a top-5 hit there, and Lena is the first person I can remember to repeat a Eurovision try back-to-back. Here she is with "Taken By A Stranger"...

Niterz, all! Next week, along with my regular list, I'll be recapping the biggest hits so far this year. Stay tuned....
