Twostepcub's music chart for February 11, 2011...

Hey everyone, watching the Grammys (and musing at @twostepcub on Twitter), so it's time for my top-100 tunes for the week. This week, Bruno Mars spends a second week on top, while Aussies Sick Puppies (pictured above) make it into the top 10. Former big hits by Katy Perry, Lifehouse, and Ralphi Rosario drop out, while singles by Pink, Kylie Minogue, and Selena Gomez make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places marked in red). Link-O-Rama is still in effect, so you can click on the highlighted links of any artist to go to their website (orange links to video clips). And the winner is....

There are seven new songs on my list (marked in yellow), and the highest is by septuagenarian Yoko Ono, who is looking to extend her run of seven #1 hits on the US Dance Club chart including "Walking On Thin Ice" and "Give Me Something". Her latest is a remixed track from her 1972 album Approximately Infinite Universe. Here's the Morel mix of "Move On Fast"...

Next up is Greek DJ Yiannis, who enlists his music label bigshot producer/singer Georgie Porgie for his first hit, "I Need Love". GP isn't a bad choice, considering he's had five #1 dance hits already, from "Love's Gonna Save The Day" in 2002 to "Can You Feel That Sound" in 2008.

British rockers Mumford & Sons just lost out on a New Artist Grammy, but their second concurent hit following "Little Lion Man" is gaining ground at modern rock radio. Here's "The Cave"...

After sporting supporting runs on my chart with songs by Enrique Iglesias, Usher, and Nicola Fasano (the last two still on my top 100), Puerto Rican rapper Pitbull has his third top-10 pop hit as a lead artist (after "I Know You Want Me" and "Hotel Room Service") with the help of the Auto-tune master, T-Pain, who hasn't seen the top-10 since last year's "Blame It" with Jamie Foxx. Here's "Hey Baby (Drop It On The Floor)"...

Clay Walker came out of the box running, with five of his first six singles hitting #1 on the country chart, beginning with "What's It To You" in 1993. After another #1 in 1997, "Rumor Has It", Walker has led a steady career, with a total of seventeen top-10 hits. His latest top-30 hit is "Where Do I Go From You"...

Alter Bridge is made up of three of the four members of Creed (or, three of the three non-douchey members of Creed), along with lead singer Myles Kennedy. They have scored two top-3 songs on US Mainstream Rock radio with 2004's "Open Your Eyes" and 2007's "Rise Today". Their newest is already their first #1 on that chart, and it's called "Isolation"...

I end this with Canadian Avril Lavigne, who previews her upcoming CD with the teen-rock that gave her a #1 US hit with "Girlfriend". Her newest is the mouthy "What The Hell"...

Play them off, Arcade Fire...
