This week I've got ten new songs on my list, and the highest is by an act owing its current success to Madonna. Meck is a British DJ who along with partner Dino Lenny had a UK hit single with "Feels Like Home". Madge used it in her Sticky And Sweet tour as a mash-up with her "Like A Prayer" powerhouse. It was phenomenal. Meck went to re-release the mashup, but due to rights issues had to use another singer. It's still rad (especially the video), and it's "Feels Like A Prayer"...

Next is the new single from American Idol season 2 alum Kimberley Locke, who finished behind Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken. Her new single is a nice disco throwback of "Strobelight"...

And now for something different, hard rock band Disturbed preview their upcoming album Asylum with the thoughtful rocker "Another Way To Die", along with a clip that spotlights the crises going on in the world today...

Well I guess I got over my beef with rapper Eminem, even though I think his recent statements over gay marriage derive more from ennui than support, but nevertheless he has two new songs from his blockbuster comeback CD Recovery. The first is his collaboration with Rihanna, and considering her history, especially poignant. Here's "Love The Way You Lie"...

This next rock band hails from South Africa like their labelmates Seether, and Civil Twilight's debut single is "Letters From The Sky"...

Uncle Kracker's "Smile" is currently enjoying a second run on my chart due to its resurgence on country radio, but on pop/rock stations the new song is a collaboration with Kid Rock, and it's "Good To Be Me"...

Romanian dance siren Inna follows up her international smash hit "Hot" with a similar sounding Baltopop of "Amazing"...

...and we're back to Eminem, with the epic Billboard #1 hit "Not Afraid"...

and finally I end with two country music legends. First is alt-country god Gary Allan, with "Get Off On The Pain"...

and the artist with the longest history of the debuts is Alan Jackson, whose sixteenth studio album's second single follows the stately charm of "It's Just That Way" with a little cornball cliche-dropping on "Hard Hat & A Hammer"..

G'nite!

This week nine new songs debut on my chart (along with La Roux's "Bulletproof" which comes back). The highest is by Los Angeles-based rock band Maroon 5, with their new single, "Misery". Watch them get beat up, all in the name of love and music...

Rihanna's former #1 hit "Rude Boy" just drops off the top-100, to be replaced by her fourth straight hit single from Rated R. Here's "Rockstar 101"...

Surfer slash singer Jack Johnson is back with a new album and single, "You And Your Heart"...

Lolene, aka Miss Foo Foo, is an English dance music singer who follows up "Sexy People" with an apparent ode to reality TV "Rich (Fake It Till You Make It)"...

Sariah is a NYC based club singer who's online biography is vague and riffs on the royal alias to associate with other queens. Her first single is the bouncy "Deep N Luv"...

Next up is country hunk Billy Currington with a song many of my friends could take to heart - "Pretty Good At Drinking Beer"...

And now for British rapper/singer Example, with a song that was a top-10 hit in England months ago, and is just crossing the pond now. Here's "Won't Go Quietly"...

Former lead singer for the Calling (known for "Wherever You Will Go") Alex Band was last heard with Santana on one of the two versions of "Why Don't You & I", and now has his first truly solo hit, with "Tonight"...

and finally, a rapper/singer from the good ol' USA, Mike Posner hails from Detroit, and his first single is a Billboard top-10 smash already. Here's "Cooler Than Me"...

That's all, folks!

This week nine new songs are on my list, and I know it's a good week when two of them enter all the way in the top-40. The first is by my "girl", Kylie Minogue, and the first single from her new (and absolutely stellar) CD Aphrodite. RUN to the store (or online) to buy this. Here's the free-love of "All The Lovers"...

Right behind Kylie is Sara Bareilles, who proves "Love Song" wasn't a fluke with the fun kiss-off of "King Of Anything"...

alt-dance duo Goldfrapp's followup to "Rocket" is the equally electro-bouncy "Alive", along with a "aerobics for Goths" video!

Estonian siren Hannah is also back with her second single on my list, and she's tops in my book. Here's "I Believe In You" and I think this would've been a song that could have won Eurovision hands down...

Next up is Utah-based rock band Neon Trees, who delve into the neo-new wave of the Killers and Phoenix with "Animal"...

Next is new-minted country superstars Lady Antebellum. Their "Need You Now" just fell out of the top-10, while the second followup debuts. Here's "Our Kind Of Love"...

Neo-soul crooner Kem is back with the smooth R&B of "Why Would You Stay". I loves me some Quiet Storm...

And now here's a band I really thought was underrated in the 90s, but gladfully back. It's Tonic, of "If You Could Only See" fame, with their new single "Release Me"...

and finally, thought both England and the US are far long put out from the World Cup, I'm still glued to the games (now rooting for the Dutch). Simon Cowell put together a "Cheer" song to benefit a UK Childrens' hospital (you can click the link for more info) and recruited rapper Dizzee Rascal and British TV star James Corden for a redo of the Tears For Fears classic "Shout"...

Now for some slumber. That's to everybody who follows me, I'm hoping to be back to regular newsposts this week. Cheers!

This week there are nine new songs, as well as the current year's Eurovision winner re-entering. The highest debut is by Swedish singer Robyn. In the 90's she had two top-10 singles with "Do You Know (What It Takes)" and "Show Me Love". After a resurrection with the song "With Every Heartbeat", she's back as a relevant artist, and her latest is her best yet. Here's my (so-far) dance song for the summer, "Dancing On My Own"...

The World Cup soccer/football tourney is in full force, and while both the US and England are knocked out, I'm still following (go Netherlands!), and the official song by Shakira with South African group Freshlyground incorporates a record from Cameroon called Zangalewa. Here's "Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)"...

Next up is alt-gone pop band the Goo Goo Dolls, who preview their upcoming album with "Home"...

LA band Lifehouse's follow-up to "Halfway Gone" is "All In"..

Travie McCoy takes time away from fronting the Gym Class Heroes to get his Jack Johnson groove on with help from Bruno Mars, who also is helping B.o.B with "Nothing On You". Travie just wants to be a "Billionaire"...

Country singer Craig Morgan's fourth single from his current album That's Why is the moral-o-drama of "This Ain't Nothin'"...

Next is singer Jessy Matador, originally born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (the bigger old Zaire one), and now residing in France. His former group are now Magic System, who were on my list earlier with "Meme Pas Fatigue". His new solo single was France's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest, which was won by Germany's Lena Meyer-Landrut (who's back with "Satellite"). The song also has seen exposure with the World Cup, and here's "Allez Ola Ole"...

Country baritone Josh Turner is back with his version of a summer throwaway, "All Over Me"...

and finally, dance act Maniacalm recruits singer LALA for the radio hit "Never Forget You"...

and as a bonus, here's the Eurovision winner that re-enters my list, Lena Meyer-Landrut with "Satellite"...
