twostepcub's music chart for December 17, 2010...

Christmas is almost here, but amidst the Xmas rush here's my top 100 tunes for the week. This week Bruno Mars spends a fourth week at the summit, while Pink (pictured above) makes it into the top-5. Former big hits by Donna Summer and Michael Franti drop out, while tracks by Robyn, Three Days Grace, and The Script make the biggest moves (jumps of 10+ marked in red). Link-O-Rama is still in effect, so you can click on the highlighted name of any of the artists to go to their website. Also, videos from classic songs of the debuting artists (marked in orange) can be clicked as well. Fa-la-la-la-la!

There are six new songs on my list (debuts marked in yellow), and the highest is by gospel singer turned dance diva Chris Willis. Willis has worked with French producer David Guetta (who is also on this weeks chart) and had provided the lead vocals on classic Guetta tracks like "Love Is Gone" and "Gettin' Over You", both which topped the US dance chart (and also going top-3 in the UK). His latest is his first solo credit without Guetta, and it's already a big dance hit. Here's "Louder (Put Your Hands Up)"...

Next up is electronica legend Brian Transeau, or BT as he records by, with his latest single, "The Emergency". He has had two number-1 dance hits with "Blue Skies" (with Tori Amos) and "Remember". His current album, These Hopeful Machines (which includes "The Emergency"), is up for Dance/Electronic album of the year Grammy...

JLS stands for "Jack The Lad Swing", and the boys who finished second behind Alexandra Burke on England's X Factor still have something to swing about. They now have four UK number-one hits out of five singles, including their debut "Beat Again", followup "Everybody In Love", and last single "The Club Is Alive". Their fourth is a charity record benefiting the Children In Need, and it's "Love You More"...

Northern British DJ's Ian Longo and Jay Wainwright have recruited Canadian singer for their first American dance radio hit, "One Life Stand"...

Singer Blake Shelton has had seven number-one hits on the country chart since his debut single "Austin" in 2001, which so far has been his biggest, spending five weeks on top. "Some Beach" spent another four weeks, and this year Blake released two EPs of music each containing another charttopper. His latest is from the second EP All About Tonight as well as his new Greatest Hits set, and it's "Who Are You When I'm Not Looking"...

The last artist to debut is Sunny Sweeney, who started out as a comedian, but now is making a name as a country artist, with her first charting single, "From A Table Away"...

Deck those halls!
