twostepcub's music chart for April 2, 2010....

Good morning, and to everyone celebrating Easter and Passover, I hope you have a peaceful reflective one. It's time for my tunes for the week, and the Script spend a second week on top, while Lady GaGa and Beyonce (pictured above, with GaGa eaten by an anemone) leaping into the top-5. Previous hits by the Black Eyed Peas, Jaheim, Iyaz, and David Guetta f/Akon drop out, while Timbaland, Blake Lewis, and Yoko Ono make the biggest jumps... Link-o-Rama is in full effect, so you can click on the highlighted name of any artist to go to their website. Thank you, Easter Bunny!

This week nine new songs debut on my chart, and the highest is by Belgian singer Paul Van Haver, who performs under the name Stromae. His first big single "Alors En Danse" ("Then In Dance") is a European smash hit, making #1 in France, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria as well as his native country.

Next up is veteran electronica act Goldfrapp. The London-based duo of Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory return to their disco-fied roots with "Rocket"...

The next song was #1 for two weeks in Britain, and I can understand why. It's by English rapper Tinie Tempah, and the electrofied hip-hop of "Pass Out" is killer..

Neo-soul powerhouse Maxwell's third single from his comeback album BLACKsummers'night is "Fistful Of Tears". The album is so worth getting...

Missouri-based rock outfit Cavo hit the rock chart twice from their debut album, and the third single is making headway on pop radio, and it's featured on the soundtrack of Transformers:Revenge Of The Fallen. It's "Let It Go"...

Two country songs come on, starting with the awesome Tim McGraw with the third single from his latest record. It's the ballad "Still"..

Next is one of the best female voices in country music. It's Martina McBride, with "Wrong Baby Wrong"...

Timbaland debuted last week with "Carry Out" with Justin Timberlake, as well as re-entered with "Morning After Dark" with Nelly Furtado and SoShy (which was this week's biggest mover). If that's not enough, the uber-producer debuts with a third track, his collab with Katy Perry (and my favorite on his album), and it's "If We Ever Meet Again"...

And finally, topping Timbaland and Rihanna, who each have three songs on my chart, is Taylor Swift. Swift is at #51 with "Fearless", #56 with the former top-40 "Fifteen", and #54 as a featured artist on Boys Like Girls' "Two Is Better Than One", and debuts with a new song from the movie Valentine's Day. It's "Today Was A Fairytale"...

Hippity hop to the Town And Country with Sis and Tony and the kids!
