twostepcub's music chart for October 09, 2009

Hey everyone, I'll be posting my part two of Kylie soon, but in the meantime, I'll catch up with my top tunes from last week before I forget. German dance act Cascada makes it to #1 for the first time, while Michael Franti & Spearhead (pictured above) hold on in the top-5. Sixteen songs make jumps of 10 places or more, with Weezer, David Guetta, and Five For Fighting moving the most, while former big hits by Pitbull (twice off), Jessica Jarrell, and Randy Houser drop out. I'll try to put up the links ASAP. But at the end are the new vids! Nor'ester!?!?!?!

I didn't want to miss this week since there's a dozen new songs and three re-entries on the list, and the highest is by Lady GaGa, who has her fourth hit from her debut album with "Paparazzi"...

Next up is Vanessa Williams, who is riding high as part of the "Ugly Betty" cast (at least last time i checked), and her new single gets the house treatment from Ralphi Rosario. Here's "The Real Thing"...

Country star Carrie Underwood is back with the first single from her third album. It reprises the rock inflections of "Before He Cheats" and "Last Name". Here's "Cowboy Casanova"...

Rob Thomas had a great post on Arianna Huffington's blog about gay marriage equality, and it's worth a read. It's refreshing that we can have actual thinking rock stars. He incorporates that into his new video for "Someday"...

British dance music singer Carmen Reece has her first chart entry with the bubbly "Right Here", which sorta reminds me of Jennifer Lopez, not sure why...

Lady Antebellum has the hottest new song on the country charts, and it makes it here, it's "Need You Now"...

A previous "Distant Shores Song" of mine, Tom Frager & Gwayav finally make my chart with "Lady Melody", which bookends nice with the Michael Franti song in the top-10...

Next is British R&B singer Taio Cruz with the Ne-Yo-esque "Break Your Heart"....sorry for the bad clip but this was what i could find...

Taio Cruz - Break Your Heart - Watch today’s top amazing videos here

This past week country singer Luke Bryan released his second album, and it's in my car for this week's listening pleasure. Here's a teaser, the singer, "Do I"...

You can watch the original video here, but here's an embeddable clip using Blue October's "Say It", a great kiss-off song with a line "I gained 40 pounds because of you"...Classic...

Blue October - Say It (official Video) - Click here for another funny movie.

While Taylor Swift's "You Belong With Me" hangs on in my top-40, her new single "Fifteen" debuts, with a clip featuring her real-life childhood friend Abigail...

and finally, Brooks and Dunn team up with Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top for "Honky Tonk Stomp"...

And yes, my "store" has a drivethru! Leave me alone with my shame! LOL....

And as an added bonus the dance remix that sent Jessie James' "Wanted" back on my list...
