Is he a president or an 8-year-old?

Just think, we PAY this fucktard's salary. Fuck you, asshole. You don't get to shut up the American public. You're a PUBLIC SERVANT, dick-for-brains. You're not fucking king of the planet. Please let January come soon.

See you next thursday of the week....

This week's "Cee U Next Tuesday" award, given to the woman determined to break down the glass floor to assholery, goes to blond Harry Potter look-a-like Linda Daves, Chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party, who is playing the "Punch and Judy" charade game with John McCain about airing an attack ad (really a "spook" ad, now that I think about it) bringing up Barack Obama and Jeremiah Wright, along with every other disaster save the Hindenburg of this century. Since the Republican party is devoid of any issues, and with the "heathen" they have running they can't go the moral route, the only respite is to inflame the basest of fears and ignoring the true issues this country is facing - the economy going into the tank, a neverending quagmire in a misled "war on terror", a health care fiasco, and an ecological nightmare arising, and if America falls for it, maybe Rev. Wright isn't quite off the mark. You're a sad, misguided, and fucked up woman, Ms. Daves, and may you slime back into the swamp where you belong.

and British singer/rapper Estelle teams with powerhouse Kanye West for the car-song of the week, "American Boy"...

This week a whopping eleven new songs enter my countdown, and the highest is by French-Israeli chanteuse Yael Naim. You gotta hand it to Apple, I could never in a million years imagine this kind of song getting any kind of exposure without the promo muscle a simple Mac ad could provide. It give me a small hope for what's left of the music business. "New Soul" is an instant singalong classic, with Naim's frail voice fitting the delicate arrangement. Here's "New Soul"...

now for something completely different. Jeanie Tracy has been kicking around the dance scene since the 80s, with the late 90's/early 00's seeing her featured on a bunch of club hits, most notably Rosabel's "The Power" and "Cha Cha Heels" and Altar's "Party People". She's even already on the list backing up Vicki Shepard on "I Got A Feeling". This time she's back with Brazilians Altar with the uplifting tribal jam "Everybody Up". Goes good with dance.

Also coming here via the dance clubs, former(?) Destiny's Child Kelly Rowland follows up the top-40 "Like This" with the East-London funky "Daylight". Not as catch as yet-to-be-US single "Work", but smooth nonetheless (and check the bass on the "Karmatronic Remix" here)...

Inaya Day is another dance siren seens on a truckload of dance club chart hits like " I Am The 1" and "Movin' Up", while scoring #1's with "Can't Stop Dancin'", "Lift Me Up", and "U Spin Me". Teaming up with DJ Bill Bennett, she makes a hat trick of top-10 remakes, following "The Glamorous Life" and "Nasty Girl" with a redo of the classic sleeper track "Breakaway", originally by Aussie's predecessor to Chumbawumba, Big Pig. And this video is the cutest ever, biggie it up on another window for better viewage....

Now there's no question where Raheem DeVaughn's mind is at. I mean, his website's call "The Love Experience", for chrissakes. Sounding like D'Angelo doing an even better Marvin Gaye impression, here's "Woman"...

and in the same vibe, Jaheim has had more success, having three top-10 albums, one reaching the #1 spot, with a quartet of top-40 hits of his own and a top-5 smash backing up rapper Nelly (on "My Place"). He goes for the more sing-songy R. Kelly-ish delivery on new song "Never"....

3 Doors Down take time away from being military shills to get back the pop/rock/mope crowd with "It's Not My Time"....

Speaking of the military, American Idol hunk-o-rama/vet Josh Gracin follows two misstarts to finally release his second album, and here's the new single, nothing groundbreaking, but pleasant nonetheless, like late 90s country, here's "We Weren't Crazy"...

and what do you know? THIS years current American Idol champ (till the new season ends) comes on with her second single, this time a duet with current top-10 resident Chris Brown. I admit originally didn't care for the song's all-over-the-place melody, but it's growing on me. Here's "No Air"...

Sometimes I have songs on my list that have little-to-no American exposure. Such is the case with Girls Aloud. The girl-group was formed by British reality song competition Popstars: The Rivals, but have proven to transcent the toss-off tag. So far they have EIGHTEEN straight top-10 songs in the UK, while in America so far not a peep. They were last on MY list with "Call The Shots", and this time they sneak in with "Can't Speak French", which for some crazy reason was also recorded IN French. Go fig.

And finally, so new the official video isn't out yet, Carrie Underwood enters with "Last Name" channeling Shania Twain through Alan Jackson's "I Didn't Even Know Your Name"...

Cash that Social Security check yet?

PS the shed's awesome. Thanks for the gruntwork, SB

Republican Douchebag of the week....

Hey boys and girls, now from the makers (well, maker) of the "Cee U Next Tuesday" awards, it's time for the Republican Douchebag of the week. And of course, what is more apropos than the current Republican candidate for president, John McCain. In Jon Stewart's words, he courageously "went near where black people live" and made a speech/pack of lies (for him, it's usually the same) in New Orleans about Katrina. Whoever did this video is a friggin' genius for summing it up...

Yes, John, you're fucking full of honor. Having cake while almost 2,000 people died. You're no hero, you're fucking Marie Antoinette, douchebag.

Poor Kylie....

Damn. Well it is official, so far Kylie Minogue's new album, X, spent one measly week in the US top 200 albums at #139. Blame the totally misguided promotional plan for rolling it out, not only months after the UK release (and fans like me have already bought the import) but trying to hype the single "All I See" after the album release. Kudos for Kylie for trying by appearing on the ratings-heavy Dancing With The Stars (albeit with a somewhat flat rendering of "All I See" and a better version of "Can't Get You Out Of My Head") and Ellen, but honey, you need some Oprah love. And fast.

And the video just gets released. I admit I like it. It also probably has no chance to be played unless they drop a shitload of money on VH1.

See You Next Tuesday of the week....

Ok, I'm cutting it under the wire, but I had a shed to put up (well, THANKFULLY SB mostly did it). This week's "See You Next Tuesday" award narrowly goes to Nash McCabe, shown here in her native habitat and garb, who shilled herself to ABC as an ignorant attempt at a "gotcha" question during the Pennsylvania Democratic debate. Since when does "I want to know if you believe in the American flag" is going to get this bitch a better life since she lost her job (apparently from hanging out in diners too much). Let's see if a lapel pin's gonna help your husband get that back surgery. Color me harsh, I know, but you, my dear, are this week's clear example that a good number of Americans will go like lemmings to any talking point dreamt up by frat-boy media boys. Kudos, and enjoy that waffle, shithead. Next time, maybe ask a question about health insurance, something that MAY have an iota of pertinence in your life. Or is that too hard? And PS, I didn't see a lapel pin there, honey. So for being a stupid-ass lemming, you win the "C-U-Next Tuesday of the week" award. No pawning it for food stamps, though. Sorry.

This week, nine new songs enter my chart, starting with dance artist Colette, with
the bubbly "If"...

next up, Mariah Carey's back, and I admit it's growing on me whether I want it or not, here's "Touch My Body" (cute video too)..

Two of my favorite British artists don't seems to get love in the States. One is Kylie Minogue (tried her best but her album kind of tanked, you need to go on Oprah, honey!), the other being Robbie Williams, who comes on with the best single from his album from last year, here's "Lovelight"..

Panic At The Disco has a new album out, and the first single "Nine In The Afternoon" comes on, in it's playful dance-emo way...

This week is chock full of dance tunes, and remixer Morgan Page debuts with his own "The Longest Road"...

Groove Armada teams up with veteran dance/soul/gospel singer Candi Staton for "Love Sweet Sound"...

Landon Pigg's "Can't Let Go" hit my chart a while ago, and he's back with the delicate and beautiful "Falling In Love In The Coffee Shop"...

Seether's recent top-10 "Fake It" is still decending the chart, but their more mainstream pop of "Rise Above This" debuts to join it...

Finally, the proclaimed "Queen of Latin Soul", the late La Lupe, sneaks in with a remix of her song "Besito Pa Ti", here's a tiny clip from it...

And that's it folks, check in later for my Cee You Next Tuesday of the week.Ahh, days off together. how cool is that!

See You Next Tuesday of the week....

Hey boys and girls....unleashing my first in a series - the "See You Next Tuesday" weekly award, given to the woman (or women) who have proven they can be just as big a dirtbag as their male ape counterparts. Over the last five years, major strides have been made in assholery to break through the "glass sewer".

This week, Cindy McCain, wife of "Paul Simon with a goiter" John wins the inaugural award. Cindy, husband-stealer/drug addict thief/beer hag, had a "Cindy's Family Recipes" page on John's campaign website. Now first of all, I don't know you, but I don't really search out political shill websites for my food tips. Well, it turns out these recipes were plagiarized from the Food Network website. REALLY. Like no one would figure that out. After the gig was up, and they tried to scrub the site (damn those screen-capture images!), an intern was thrown under the bus to excuse the inclusion of the recipes. but as HuffPo poster David Weiner noted, Cindy also submitted one of the recipes to the New York Sun as her own. And geez, look at the recipes. Ahi Tuna with Napa Cabbage. Passion Fruit Mousse. As DailyKos points out, not exactly Redstate America staples. And these clowns are calling out Obama for trumped up "elitist" statements? If you're gonna whore yourself out, Cindy, try at least stealing some Paula Deen. And as usual, a republican allergic to taking any responsibility.

So for you, Cindy, be proud. In a world of Condoleeza Rice, Dana Perino, and Elizabeth Hasselback, you edged out for the first (of many) C-U-N-T awards. (Don't worry, the others will sure to do something to win in the future). But from what's been reported, it's not the first time those letters were applied to her.

(and as an afternote, I don't want to hear anything about tearing into the family of a public figure. She is actively campaigning for her shell of a husband, so all's fair game. Besides if this were a couple weeks ago, Chelsea Clinton, snot-ass supreme, would be winning this.)

Song for the night....

No, Sugarbear, I couldn't sleep...

Next up, a former #1 British hit, Basshunter's sing-song dance ditty, "Now You're Gone"...

Last time The Last Goodnight were aping Blue October's neo-punk with "Pictures Of You", now they're with the Finger Eleven/Maroon5 rock-funk vibe, with "Stay Beautiful"...

Kat Deluna is back with Busta Rhymes for the Reggaeton "Run The Show"

Robyn is already re-climbing the list with "With Every Heartbeat", but doesnt waste time by putting her third single on here with "Handle Me"...

And on a totally different tip, here's nu-nu metal band Atreyu getting all "Outsiders" in the house with "Falling Down"...

Lauren Hildebrandt comes on with the delightfully discofied "My Life Again"...

Now everybody know this song could have been recorded by a ton of tween wannabes, but it's Miley Cyrus (daughter of Billy Ray) that debuts with "See You Again"..

and HERE she is, Madonna herself, with the highly anticipated new single with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake, "4 Minutes" (nice effects)...

and finally bear-killers themselves, Montgomery Gentry, with "Back When I Knew It All"...

now, go to bed, SB! I love ya!

And talking about thumpers, I guess its a "tribal" type week, here's the new one by Ralph Falcon (of "Murk" fame) with "Break You"...

and finally, Brad Paisley at his corniest, the borderline offensive (if he wasn't so damn earnest!) "I'm Still A Guy"....

100. Somethin' 'Bout A Woman - Jake Owen (100)

This week eight songs debut and one re-enters the chart. First off, Jack Johnson is back with a typical laid-back surferdude ditty, "If I Had Eyes"...

Next, my pick of the week, already a sensation in Britain, now just hitting the states, the retro sounds of Duffy and "Mercy"....

(and for some extra goodness, the US video, cuz I like it so much.)

Dierks Bentley is back with the fourth single from his latest album "Tryin' To Stop Your Leavin'"...

Electronica act Goldfrapp is also returning with a more earthy (and awesome) song and the coolest video of the week, "A&E"....

Billed as Kleerup featuring Robyn last time out, "With Every Heartbeat" is returning to the chart due to its release in the states as just Robyn.very very good song....

And on the soul tip, Keyshia Cole comes on with "I Remember"....

And for a totally different change of pace, the inspiring video put to Rascal Flatts' new single, "Every Day"...WATCH...

Now for some fun. Erin Hamilton (yeah, I know, Carol Burnett's daughter) is on with a song from almost 8 years ago, a dance remake of Cheap Trick's "The Flame"...

finally, new artists Ferras is on with a song made popular by American Idol without being made by an "Idol" singer, here's "Hollywood's Not America"...

Keep a pet for yourself...
